People Knocking On Your Door For Charity Donations

I find it hugely distasteful.

I'm sure their charity is admirable, but having some doe-eyed mincer on my doorstep is the method least likely to get me stumping up.

Anyone who wanders the streets knocking on doors in all sorts of weather trying to raise money for charity doesnt deserve abuse especially if its something worthwhile like old folk, kids woms, cancer charities etc.

i all ways tell them i give to charity though my church :drinks:

Slightly different but Im getting sick of the phone calls with the automated voice asking me about unmanageable debt,

I simply ask if they can guarrantee it will be spent 100% on UK causes.

Only shell out 10% of the time.

Somebody asked me today if I could spare 5 minutes for Cancer Research.

I said: "Yes, but I doubt we'll get much done in that time."

Someone knocked on my door the other night and said they were collecting for the local old folks home..............so I gave 'em me Mam!

I used to work in the same office as the RSPCA collectors. They get a very good wage and its 100% performance rated. Barryk32 VVVITK

I always donated money to the owd chap who used to frequent the Milhouse on a match day. Seen him outside the Apollo and Academy in Manchester as well.

Top bloke and seems to spend his whole life collecting for the charity. :good:
