Just seen an interview with Megson on SSN on their first day back to pre-season training. He said in addition to Sean Davis he wants another 6 new players!!

 

He also said don't pay attention to press speculation as he said the club last season were linked with about 300 players and will prob be linked with that many this summer.

 

Megson also said he isn't working to a budget but that he just needs to give he names to Gartside and Eddie and they will try to bring them in.

 

hopefully those 6 other players are: CB, LB, CM, RW, ST, ST

the only time Shittu performed below a reasonable prem ;evel was Northampton when the whole team had a mare.

 

I'm more than happy for him to be our back up centre half (last resort centre forward if Samba can do it so can Big Dan )

 

We do need a better level of player to be Cahills partner but as has been said bolton cannot support a squad of players at that level

Thats all good and well but there arent many promising youngsters around and what happens to these youngsters when they need to play but arent ready? Any youngsters we have that are anywhere near good enough are already in the 1st team squad.

shittu not been given a chance for me. Against arsenal he was quality and best player in a white shirt by a mile, week afther dropped for o brian who every one knows is a liability . As for young basham , well thought the young lad did well when called upon ans is a good squad player.
