from the sounds of it, widnes and littlewhitt

I once saw him in a place I shan't mention

I was sceptical but I spoke to a few of his victims after the show in vatious other bars and they reckon it's genuine

Doesn't work on everybody, only people who are serceptable to suggestion

He once told me I'd fancy goats so just shows it didn't work on me

It's genuine!

That's the thing and that's the art in what they do. They pick on the one's easy to manipulate & stay away from the ones not so easy to use. If you notice at the beginning of the show he'll be testing to see which are will be the entertainment.

I've never been to one of these shows, just one of my mum's mate's is a hypnotherapist so told me. She also told me I'd act like a werewolf during full moon's. I did a couple of times but I'm alright noooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooo! :D

I thought you were better than that.

Get out, now, and think about what you said.

I've got better material but one can only work with what one is given. :pardon:

I went to a hypnotist show once, was very sceptical about it, 'til i got volunteered, ended up talking martian, thinking water was coming on stage and all kinds of shit. probably wouldnt work for everyone and some of the things just didnt work on me (unfortunatly one of the things that didnt was the glasses that make you see women naked  ) but they say it cant make you do anything you dont really want to or at least not comfortable with, for example, one of the "tricks" he did on me, throughout the performance was that when i heard a certain tune, I would go over to this box full of ties, get a tie and put it on. When I "came round" at the end, I had about 20 f?ckin ties round my neck that I couldnt remember putting on, but there was one left in the box that had a man utd badge on and according to the people with me who were watching, he tried 5 times with this tune to get the last one on me, when the tune played i still went to the box, but instead of putting it on I just picked it up, said "munich shit" and went back to my chair, much to the amusement of the audience, but I just wouldn't put this one on, but couldn't remember that or putting any of the others on.

would certainly recommend it for a laugh if nowt else, and if you get chance, volunteer, because if it does work its a wierd experience.

It happened to me once on holiday and i never thought it would, i was on stage for about 1 hour but it felt like 5 minutes, i could hear everything that was going on but i couldn't do fcuk all about it, i was absolutely fcuked afterwards for about 2 days

Have a go Danny it's a good experience :good:

They can't make you do anything.

The people up there are up there because

1) they are highly suggestible

2) they love it

None, but they rely on the volunteers to ham it up big time.

bastard - was reading carefully to see if anyone made that joke before i put something!

was gonna say he'll be too busy shagging molly int garage!

Reading some of the replies, they're very similar to my experience.

I volunteered to go up after the hypnotist failed miserably to get anyone on stage. After I got up another 10 or so braved it too.

He did the old clasp your hands stuff as hard as you could to see if you were susceptible to hypnosis. Of course, hypnosis or not, if you clamp your inter-twined fingers together tightly for a minute or two they'll be difficult to get undone immediately; and I knew it but went along with it.

He then got various people up doing stuff . . . then my turn. I always felt I didn't need to do it. I could, at any time, have walked off stage and labeled him a phoney.

Can't recall what he had me doing but that's more due to the length of time ago rather than any hypnosis.

Except the last one. I'd done about three or four different things; barking like a dog every time someone walked across the stage who, "I thought was a cat!!!" It was bollocks. I knew it and he knew it.

Anyway, the last one. As folk did stuff he sent them back to their chairs; except me.

I ended up remembering that it was all a fake and I was in total control but didn't want this poor bloke to come across as being the shittest of shit hynotists. For that reason, I'd played along.

The last 'trick' involved me taking my trousers off in front of a packed house. I still remember thinking, "I bet this fcker knows I was never 'under' and he's now getting his own back by seeing how far I'd go.

I also thought that, as I'd faked everything up to now it was way too late to expose this chap as a sham, a fake, a cad, a bounder . . . so I had to keep going. My missus was in hysterics, as were the audience. Eventually I got to my seat and those around me were asking stuff like, "Were you really under?" No! Did you know what you were doing? Yes!

So my opinion is, either they're very good and hypnotise you without you knowing it or, and in my opinion, more likely, they hope to fuck they'll find some sympathetic person in the audience who's not going to expose him as a fake.
