Just read that article, I hope he is right

i remember several years ago, the season after we had just stayed up beating birmingham and the pundits were giving their predictions and he said we'd finish 8th. he was duely mocked and laughed at but we finished that season with a flourish and came 8th. hopefully his prediction that we will be a surprise package this years also rings true

I read that as he has us getting relegated as the suprise of the season!

 

I think a solid performance from us this season should come as no surprise to anyone of a reasonable mind.

As Ive said before, it all depends on if Elmander hits a bit of form. It bothers me that he aint scored pre season nor many at all last term. As for Kamara, I believe he`s got a point. If bolton did buy a goal scorer as replacement for an out of form Elmander then I believe we could go a lot further than most would believe.

I think we've a fine squad, we could be set for a good season BUT the obvious weak area is in the striking department

I guess the only thing that leaves it ambiguous is "better than expected" and what your expectations are

All strikers go through lean patches, but what worries me even more is that Elmander just doesn't look like scoring many ..........

I reckon Elmander will do well this season...as long as he remains injury free.

If we're honest i think most of us are hoping we don't struggle all year again, but i'm wondering why he thinks we'll do that well. Apart from roughing up a few teams he doesn't say why he's expecting us to do well. let's hope he knows more about the new signings than the rest of us seem to

So let me get this right. He selects a football team once a week, gets help from a backroom staff of coaches and assistants, paid almost ?1 mill per ann for working 9 months a year and we are supposed to feel sorry because about 20 folk shout a bit of abuse at him?

 

I used to get paid about ?35 a week to have a lot more than that call me names.
