Difficult to say. In the three sets of accounts I have, the figures are reported as follows.

 

2009 ?345,000 salary, ?83,000 in fees, bonus ?138,000

2008 ?132,000 salary, ?123,00 in fees, bonus ?41,000

2006 ?45,000 salary, ?215,000 in fees, bonus ?11,000

 

Perhaps someone who has the the 2005 & 2007 accounts can fill in the gaps.

It's losing money, but he seems happy enough with its performance.

He decides how he spends his money. It's not our money and therefore not really our problem.

With our debt at ?60 million it is servicable, at the moment

 

What if his business goes down the pan, or he is worth ?40 million in 2010?

 

We'd be in the shit and I mean administration shit

 

Granted he could be worth ?100 million next year, and that would be happy days, but the credit crunch has hit everyone

I appreciate and share some of your concerns, but the football club itslef has tangible assets that can be realised to make up any shortfall.

 

Messrs Jaaskelainen, Cahill, Knight, Davis, Taylor, Lee, Davies (M), Muamba, Elmander and Davies (K) would all attract decent money if we we're inclined/forced to sell.

 

I mean, they're talikng about Cahill being in the ?20m+ bracket on his own: that's a third of our debt.

Leaving aside Gartside's pay etc, the bigger question remains - what is the long term gameplan? As it stands we're fucked whatever happens - and I don't ask that by way of veiled criticism of Garty or Megson or Eddie or anyone, and I don't even know if there is an answer. Maybe there is no feasible gameplan and we just have to wait for the inevitable turmoil - sooner (upon relegation) or later (when the unsustainable wages cause the PL to implode)

I agree, there is a far bigger and more wide-reaching picture to consider.
