Megson claims other clubs in and around the bottom three either do not have the same distractions as he is currently facing at the Reebok, or have the ability to make excuses for their lowly league position. ?One of the problems we have got is that some of the clubs in and around us, such as Portsmouth, are telling everyone that the world is against them, they haven?t got any money to spend, they haven?t got this, or that, but they have spent more money than we have got,? he said.

?They have players who cost a huge amount of money a while back and they brought more in than we have got, and yet they have got that galvanising spirit from within their support. Wolves will have it, so will Birmingham and Hull, but we have got to cope with the fact that we haven?t got it.?

Are Megsons comments fair? for me this man is more to blame than any fan, we pay our money and in my opinion the majority of fans have been fair for a long time, granted there is a vocal minority within the club, but repeated comments like these make me think the time is right for a change

i agree mounts, its as though he is looking for an excuse and other people to blame every time we slump a little, he keeps throwing these digs at the fans but when will he look at himself and his own inept negative attitude, he is to blame as much as the minority of the fans.

He's right though, the reason people knock him for saying it is because they know it. Stoke and Portsmouth are the loudest grounds in the country aren't they? What have they got that we've not? Oh yeah, about 20,000 more passionate supporters and 20,000 less moaning cunts.

Whether he does himself any favours keep knocking the fans is another question but I think most people in his position would behave the same way.

I think that it is crap.

Excuses

Whilst not great fans (as a body); if we are inspired, we can really get behind the team. It's a 2 way thing and, in my view, he has done very little to "galvanise" the support.

Whilst I would never boo our team, I understand why people might and Megson needs to understand, and be responsible for, his part in this.

Leadership is required, but I can't see him ever being a leader.

To put it bluntly, Megson is a loser who is always looking to blame others for his own failings.

A loser? Hands up anyone on here who earns his wage, has ever played professionally & managed a football club in arguably the top league on the world.

Clearly your definition of a loser differs from mine.

Perhaps you didnt watch the Stoke game on sunday after ours. Stoke wer very poor until they scored late on. There was more moaning and booing to be heard there than at Boltons game.

Brum was the same when we won there in September. I've been to our last few games at Pompey - its the same there.

Most grounds are like morgues now, its well documented.

The difference is that other managers accept that it is upto the team to take responsibility with their performance and get the crowd going. Megson just blames the support without accepting responsibility for it.

Losing the dressing room is the first (and often last) nail in a manager's coffin. If I was Megson, I wouldn't be advertising it like a 2 for 1 deal at Morrisons.

so is everyone in football a winner?

he is the catalyst for the atmosphere and response from the crowd....

his comments do little to endear himself to the majority...

he was a failure at all of his clubs apart from a period at WBA...

he was out of work and working for free at Stoke and had been for 6 months, Leicester fans were singing at him to be taken to Bolton..... before his "talents" were spotted by our chairman and he was thrust into premiership management....

In my book that makes him a failure and a loser....

the fact that our board haven't got the balls to try and rectify the solution, depite giving him ?40 miilion to spend...is frankly astounding...

he should be released because it is clear after two years he is unsuitable and not up to the job he is handsomely paid for...incompetant...

the fact that his paid a huge ammount for failure...sucks..but is a sad inditement of todays game...what did Alladyce walk away from Newcastle with for failure?

If some think success is measured by the ammount you are paid then you need to re - evalute....

being a winner..opposite to loser..is being succesful...something his CV proves he is not...

I'm not sure I said that, did I? I just find it odd he's being called a loser when I would love to have experienced those 3 factors in my life.

well 2 of the 3 apply to most footballers, the league bit was just a bonus for him

losers come from all walks of life

as do winners

and if you have winners, you need losers

just because he's experienced them, doesn't make him necessarily good at them

Megson is a loser.

The majority of our support hate him and now some of the players have completely lost faith in him too. The sooner our board and Eddie Davies gets rid of him the better.

Do people actually hate him? Fuck me, what a bizarre concept. He's just a not very good manager, that's all. He's mugged your gran or anything.

He's a loser bacuase he's offensive in every way except his fucking tactics.

Slagging off your clubs supporters as often and as vehemently as he does is as disgusting as booing your own team at half time or full time or hoping we lose so he gets the sack, in fact it's worse because he can control his actions most the fans who wouldnt dream of booing etc can't control the idiots we have

I once heard good managment is how you make people feel....he makes most of fans feel very pissed off with his antics and thats what these are antics of a man with zero class at all in fact he makes phil thompson look like Bruce Rioch and now it would appear the players so really enough is enough now piss off back to the shitty stone you crawled from - christ he makes my blood boil

I didn't say I hated him, I said the majority of our support, which imo do.

chicken and egg, i think you will find.

megson did nothing wrong and got booed on his very 1st day.

the bloke will never win no matter what he does, we has a couple of decent games, it seemed like the tide was turning, but then we get battered by the best team in the country twice, so confidence is again low, then beaten by local rivals and its all gone tits up again.

the whole scenario its just complete and utter bollocks.

basically its just a case of "when" and not "if".

whether that will prove to be good for the club is obviously unknown.

How on earth to you know how other people actually feel?
