the last 4 months of BSA was pretty poor starting from the Liverpool defeat to Liverpool on new years was when things started going wrong[after 5 staight wins] to when he left,

thats wots gets me!!!!!

the same people who defend GM are the ones who quickly point to the 3 months of BSA failure in nearly 9 years of bringing the club to the status it now enjoys....yet give GM a little stick for his poor managerial tenure in 2 and a 1/4 years and his signings in that time, and you feel like a leper! If you do give him you are a non fan unless you have the requisite attendance badges and do not boo!!!!! :pardon:

In my view the substitution of Klasnic by Mark Davies was a bad decision. I've seen Bolton play many times with just Kevin Davies up front on his own and so has Megson to know that it doesn't work. We rely on long balls punted up to Davies who usually has three defenders marking him and he is supposed to hold the ball up while our midfielders just amble up the pitch to support him. One of these midfielders is Taylor who is incapable of running. People might argue that the substitution was made to ensure the draw but that doesn't wash because with this tactic we just encourage the opposition to attack us.

My opinion of why Bolton are not doing well this season is the loss of Sean Davis. If he had been available throughout the season I'm sure we would have been more successful.

Who defends GM?

Who defends GM?

Those who take the piss out of the lads and lassies who want him out? Those who reckon that was a point won? Those who call those around me whom I recognised as ol timers who booed who they deem non fans? should i go on?

I think in some cases people don't like to say/or hear a bad thing about the club, and result in trying to give reasons and not listen to other people views.

Im sure every real Bolton fan cares a lot, when things are not going well, emotions and feelings play a part in how we react. If people boo, i think they do it because it's a reaction that they hope gets them what they would like and what is in there opinion best for the club.

I know players need confidence, but they also need form, negative tactics and poor teammates isn't gonna help, so if there is no form then it's gonna result in bad perfromances = more boo's.

It wouldn't happen if it was once in a while, but we see it almost week in week out and because of the manager and the football, fans are showing there dislike because they are fed up watching and seeing this club piss us off far to often.

Some keep saying if we win a few then we will be reet up there in like 10th place or similar, any team could say that, who knows what's gonna happen, who thought Birmingham would be doing what they are? We have a poor team, a bad manager and the atmosphere is at a right low. Do you really think the players will suddenly become better players if they are cheered for 90 minutes?

For example will the defenders play better long balls? Will K.Davies win more knock ons? Will we see better set pieces, a bit more accuracy on our long throw ins? will we see this if suddenly we all forgot about the rubbish we are seeing and stopped what you call being anti megson. NO! we simply don't have the team/style.manager/money to change.

And that's why we are definately imo going to go all the way to May not knowing our future, if Megson is still in charge and we get relegated, wqill he get sacked ? and that's what worries me.

Lose to Hull he has to go, win hull and get knocked out to Lincoln he has to go etc. It's like a repetive cycle, Megson each game is going to be booed unless we get in Europe or win the F.A Cup. If we are winning 2-0 but the other team draw 2-2 he'll get booed. It might not be his fault each game but still it will happen, Megson has to go for the sake of the club.

BGOE, just because we're not actively hounding Megson out, doesn't mean we're defending him either.

And there is my grouse about non fans and real fans in one!!!!

no but looking around me i saw several ol boys who had the same opinion and who did boo. some on this forum would suggest they are "not fans" because they booed.

Bollocks. they paid their dues in the past through arrests and so forth and they saw that performance and had the same opinion as me, sub standard. They may not have the same computer skills or basic eleoquence (insert: expect quick retort from spencer) but i am trying to express their sentiment. And I believe its not far from the the youth so maligned on here!!!

I don't dispute that many of those booing are indeed true fans.

My point is that the booing during a game is counter-productive and embarrassing.

Unfortunately, the only remedy to this won't happen for a good while yet.

Is it acceptable to slag players and manager off on a message board, which no BWFC player/manager/employee reads of course, then say it's not acceptable at the match?

fwiw, we have the biggest bunch of nobhead fans in the league and megson is an average manager at best, whos PR skills are nothing short of disasterous.

but the nobheadedness certainly outweight the shit managerness imo

maybe, but at least theyre not looking like complete tools to the rest of the football world in the process.

Chelsea fans boo their team off at half time if they have not been winning. I think they are bigger tools than our fans!

If Allardyce, Sammy Lee, Phil Brown or Owen Coyle had of got us a point away at Burnley would they have been booed off?

Would they fuck

I think booing is too civilised. I think we should riot! Let's pretend you are in the bottom league and you are losing 4-0 to a newly promoted side (perhaps Scarborough might be that side) then why waste your time booing, riot instead! Surely, the sight of a mass riot would demotivate the players, but perhaps they don't give a "toss" what the fans do and they might win promotion regardless. In which case the fans would riot again (let's say in a provincial Welsh town).

Kids, don't forget we might be the next charlton.

Bobby, Jack or Simon.

I think people are entitled to boo at the match. They have paid upwards of ?30 to watch the the game. If they perceive that they are not getting value for money which includes their team performing badly then they are entitled to let the team and the man who picks the team know about it. When I started watching the crowd didn't boo but gave the slow handclap.

Totally agree

But what's the fuckin point?

booing would be kinda acceptable if something was worth booing.

I struggle to understand folk willing to pay ?35 to go with the intention of getting on his back.

Mind you, folk struggle to understand why some so-called fans spend money to get into a ground, then stay at the bar for the duration. Idiots, they are.
