Spurs 4 Wanderers 0 Hammer

That's bollocks, 3 of Knights best games this season have come against Fulham, Tottenham and Wigan. In all 3 he wasn't with Cahill, 2 were with Rickets and 2 of them were clean sheets.

Generally last night was again extremely disappointing with the same problems continuing. I am not sure how, maybe a bit of luck, a wonder goal, a refereeing decision going our way, but change needs to happen and happen quickly, Wolves is massive.

Didn't expect anything last night, I was just praying for a goal, as Coyle said, I believe one will lead to more and then we need to get resolute again at the back, a big ask, but the fans and more importantly the manager and players need to believe this can happen Saturday.

One big positive last night was Holden, thought he looked good

i stand corrected.

  • coyle had a transfer window to try and fix that.   he didnt.

  • where did i say the squad needed anything????     as weve identified, the squad is good enough, the TEAM isnt.

  • steinsson cahill knight jls should be perfectly adequate for a mid table side IMO

i stand corrected.

:good: I will let you off!

Thing is we need him to return to that form and not that of Blackburn and Last night.

im confused? :sorry:

didn`t this squad finish comfortably in mid table last season?

or was that a different bolton wanderers?

no, that was a weaker squad.

Deary me last night was crap. All of them we're piss poor! Tamir Cohen continued his amazing run of being shit, Muamba's passing was of league 2 standard and the defending for the goals was embarrassing. At least we was concentrate on the league now.. About 350 of us there last night, most of them southerners.. Must win game at the weekend COYW!!!

The journalist who wrote the match report in the paper i read this morning gaven Cohen a higher rating than Holden. HE MUST OF BEEN WATCHING A DIFFERENT GAME.

13th may of been comfortable, put a points total of 41 still isnt great. One or two bad results against the lesser teams that we beat last season and we're back in the shit cos lets face it we rarely look like getting 3 points off a top six/eight side (everton h this season when then started badly). Spurs is the only one we seem to trouble (at home)

the final points total was a bit misleading as we switched off with about 6 games to go last year once it became unrealistic we'd go down the players went into holiday mode.

we have

Weiss, Wilshire or Holden ??

agreed, take the mistakes out and we did reasonbly well considering we were playing a top4 contender.

still gotta take chances though if we are to have any chance of staying up.

I think I must have been at a different match. That was one of the most pathetic performances I have ever seen.

I watched the game last night (except for the first half hour and the last few minutes after the fourth goal went in). Here are my thoughts:

1) Riga looks a lot more impressive than he did under Megson. He seems to have returned to the Riga that was first signed, who came on and scared the crap out of defenders.

2) Holden looks composed in midfield. Seems a decent signing, should definitely still be in the team come Saturday.

3) Elmander looked pretty decent when he came on. At least he cares about the result, or appears to.

4) Matt Taylor should not start the next game. Any player who substitutes himself doesn't deserve to start Premier League games. I don't have any issue with him personally, I think he's been struggling for a while but at least he looks like he's trying to get things going. That is, until last night.

5) Knight was looking solid in the first game or two with Ricketts, but it's obvious he doesn't trust him and THAT is why little mistakes have been creeping in. Same with A O'Brien last night.

6) I actually blame Jussi for BOTH own goals last night. Andy O didn't know whether there was a player or not behind him. Jussi came out to collect the ball (as the striker has dropped back a touch and wasn't going for it) leaving his near post completely open. Look at his reaction, no shouting at O'Brien, he knew he was at fault. I hate to say this but I think the lad needs a rest.

7) Nice to see Jlloyd back, thought he put in a decent performace, should start against Wolves.

8) How PEEVED did SKD look on the bench. He was NOT impressed with the performance at all.

My team against Wolves:

GK - Al Habsi (or Jaaskelainen if OC insists)

LB - Samuel

CB - Shittu

CB - Knight

RB - Steinsson

LW - Gardner (get him back to his natural position)

CM - Muamba

CM - Holden

RW - Lee

ST - K. Davies

ST - Klasnic

Bench:

Taylor, Weiss, Wilshere, Riga, Elmander, Ricketts and the other keeper

Bring Elmander and Riga on as a double act after 60 minutes if required.

Is that for comedy value alone?

20+ fans rolling about on the floor :D

genius, statement of the year so far (take the mistakes out and we did well)

It just proves how desperate we have got if we are pinning our hopes on fucking Riga...

I thought he'd gone back to selling crack after that performance against Arsenal...
