pompey gone

burnley fucked....city,liverpool and spurs at home.....hull,sunderland and brum away......can not see them getting more than 6 or 7 points

hull....similar to us in that they have stoke, brum and villa to play and a agame in hand....could get to about 37 with a good finish

west ham.........liverpool and everton away nothing from them....but 4 home games, sunderland, wigan fulham and city..could get 10 points from them, i know they have been shit but amazing what a win can do....so 37 points

so assume we beat pompey to put us on 35, i reckon another 2 from somewhere will see us safe.....villa and Brum at home.....

we are a long way form safe but could feel a lot different by next weekend...

4 more points will be enough but we'll get 7 or 8.

Starting with 3 this weekend.

Agree entirely that we're not safe yet by any means.

Villa and Stoke are obviously key to stopping the last few weeks being nervous as hell. but how to judge them games? Pretty much anything could happen; for starters, Villa will be smarting from the 7-1. Win that and we're safe, but lose and get the expected stuffing at Chelsea, then I can see us going into the last game with at least a mathematical chance of going down...

west ham play fulham at craven cottage

I hope we get something v villa, as we wont get anything at chelsea and stoke is tough place to go. Dont want it to be going to the wire. Alls it would take is one "off" day against portsmouth and we could be in trouble. Heres for hoping west ham continue to play as bad as they do. Prefer them down to hull, better for next season. Hull always going to be around the relegation zone

I wouldn't discount Wigan for going doing either...

Yep theyve some tough games. Them at home to hull could be a big one near the end

Good point !

We actually need 14 points at the moment to be totally safe.

This will drop as west ham and hull drop points. A win Saturday and other results going to form would make a massive difference.

Next week is massive. I honestly believe if we win we are safe. But lose going into 2 hard away games where I expect little if not nothing, then all of a sudden the others below may have pulled points back on us, we are well in the mix again and we are the out of form side down there! But even then I still think we would pull off a last day survival act.

I am prepared for all eventualities and will back us even if it goes to the last game. But lets hope the much needed win comes next week and then I for one will feel we have done enough to survive.

I did that BBC predictor thingy.

We got 43 points. 13th place.

Liverpool miss out on Europe on goal difference to Tottenham.

Portsmouth, Burnley and Hull down on final day.

imo its between hull, west ham and wigan.

i think we may stay up on as little as 34 points

wigan play both hull and west ham and that will have a massive say in who goes down.

cant see hull or west ham getting more than 6 points.

Burnley and Pompey are gone already

On the basis that west ham have lost 6 in a row, including 3 'must win games' : wolves (h), us (h) and Stoke (h) I can't see them picking up more than 1 more win. Burnley are even worse with a harder run so 0 points for them.

I did the predictor at the weekend and for the first time got us going down on 37 points.

I was trying my best mind. :D

I did the BBC Predictor again at lunch and had the title, the 4th place and the last relegation spot all decided on the last day. At kick off West Ham were down but had them beating City and Hull drawing with Liverpool so West Ham stayed up on goal difference. We ended up on 38pts.
