Why would a rugby game be allowed to affect the time/date of a football game?

They'd better decide quickly, I have train tickets to buy.

 

I got my train tickets for the Fulham game. Just waiting to see if they need changing.

Stewards are not meant to be supporters of the Club they work at.

I'd imagine most stewards started because they were fans. It is also a cheap way of watching the game.

I suppose it will all come down to what the draw is and which TV company gets first "dibs" on the game.

My mate has been working the turnstiles for over 20 years & will resign if there's a clash & he can't go to the Semi.

 

A lot of folk who are big fans, take these jobs because they've been priced out of modern footy. It gets you in the the game, albeit missing a few minutes at the beginning & puts a few extra quid in your pocket.

 

This isnt a usual situation. One you wouldn't envisage when you signed up to be a turnstile operator etc.

 

 

I see no argument in there to say the club should move the rugby game (IF the tie is at the same time) when people have bought tickets in good faith for that match.

Last time we were at Wembley we only sold 19,000 for the FA Cup semi-final v Villa. I think we'll sell more than that this time because we haven't been there for over a decade, not many have been to the new Wembley and we've got more season ticket holders than we had back then. If we draw Utd i can see us shifting our entire allocation and if that happens it will be the biggest crowd that many of us have ever seen our club play in front of.

 

If we draw West Ham or Stoke maybe some supporters might be tempted to wait and see if we get to the final but if you're not a season ticket holder and you don't go to the semi-final, you're taking a big risk that you're not going to get a ticket if we do get to the final. I can see the club giving priority to those who've been to the cup games if tickets go on general sale.

Regards the Cup Tickets; I think the club are calling it the Road to Wembley. It has been muted that this will be next after S/T and Lifeline/corporates, etc.

BWFC could be a little more considerate though, than threatening long standing employees with the sack.

 

I'm sure something could be sorted out with folk who work at other local grounds who'd be happy to earn a few extra quid, if they were short staffed.

I know. I'm talking about those that aren't season ticket holders. If we do get to the final i can't see it being a free-for-all after the season ticket holders have bought theirs. Like you said, the club will probably allocate them in some sort of order with FA Cup voucher holders given priority over the great unwashed. So anyone who isn't a season ticket holder really needs to get themselves down to Wembley for the semi-final to stand any chance of a ticket if we get to the final.

Bolton should do a last four home games ticket offer which would guarantee a semi and final ticket if we get there.

 

More money for the club; more atmosphere for the last four games and wembley tickets to true wanderers.

Logistics will come into it - If semi is same day as rugby; and the club put on up to 100 coaches or so; what about car parking for those good folk travelling by coach?

What are you worried about. Tha'll be going to Garforth on semi final day.

Against my better judgement, having to miss the semi to bank on us making the final which I could not miss.

 

Already plans to fly Air Asia to Stansted. This will be booked as soon as we are there.

 

Might have to rely on certain WWays posters getting me a ticket! If not, I'll still be in London to soak up the atmosphere and get on the lash to celebrate our great victory.

Under the employment contract. I've stewarded at Bolton before but in the corpy luckily so got away with watching quite a bit of the game. Not saying there are a few that support thier team but most dont and many dont even like football. Talk to a few when your away, most at the Citeh game were DMB's....
