There's a section of Bolton fans who think any midfielder who does the ugly stuff. He wasn't exciting, but he wasn't the terrible player most make him out to be. You need a player like McCann in your side, the trouble was that we had more than one.

May 25, 201115 yr He was in the box with Diouf on sunday. I went to Sunderland a couple of seasons back when we won 4-1 (Elmander hitting two blinding goals). It was the first time Diouf had the opportunity to play against us since leaving, but he didn't come off the bench. Anyway, I recall McCann appearing massively pissed off with the fans at the end of the game, as many were bizarrely and wrongly giving all of their applause to Diouf as opposed to the team. Some of our fans' admiration of Diouf is a joke to say the least. Not that this has any bearing on how well McCann and Diouf get on like.
