5 weeks ago I had a nasty fall and cut my hand on glass, right to the bone. The tendon in my little finger had to be re-attached. The surgery was a success. However 5 weeks on, scar tissue has built up, and my range of movement is severely limited.

I have a one hour a week physio session on the NHS and have been given stretches and finger exercises (oooh) to do at home to stop further joints getting stiff.

The nurse at the hospital recommended additional private treatment if I could afford it. Having never needed, or used a physiotherapist before I have no idea where to start or what to even look for. Even using the yellow pages is a risk as I don't know anyone else who can give me a good recommendation.

So do you kind folks of WanderersWays have anyone to recommend? If so any websites or phone numbers would be much appreciated. (Someone trained in massage, or uses a range of treatments / techniques would be a plus)

I'm not bothered about cost and willing to pay a bit extra for someone who is well trained / qualified. Thanks

NHS physio is appalling.

Good physio next to Fredricks in Chorley, cant remember company name but her names Sam. You'll see it if you go past.

Dont use Meridian at Bolton Arena (if they're still going) complete rip off/waste of time.

Is he sure he needs a physio? Sounds like a visit to his GP for a referral to orthopaedic surgeon. Mr Shepard is the man! If he can, ask for a referral to him for his advice. He can be found at The Beaumont privately or RBH.

Please find my invoice attached. Many thanks

Who did his op, might be more ethical to go back to him!
