fucking disgusting.

I've seen them and they're not good at all. Though, the Amy Winehouse ones were fair game.

Maybe there's a few double standards.

Sorry, can't agree.

Not heard them but its irrelevant.

Are jokes about the Tsunami, Fred West, kids with Down Syndrome, Amy Winehouse etc etc acceptable but Gary Speed not?

Its how folk deal with it. Every wake up and down the country is filled with folk taking the piss out of the deceased.

Where is the line drawn?

Edit: Just been on sickipedia and a couple made me smile, especially the one about tonights fucking tv schedule. As did Dianainheavens tweet this morning.

Hope I'm not going to hell.

If you sing Munich songs then you can pipe down. Death is not a laughing matter and maybe todays events will help a full knuckle draggers realise this and might stop with the munich references etc!

I am not shocked there are jokes about already - I heard one about Giigs and Speed's wife, truly sick!

It can be part of a way to deal with loss or tragedy.

Fair game? you suprise me NB. I hear and read jokes about folk who have passed away and I don't repeat them or pass them on via any other form - and I'm not saying you do. Maybe it's my old age creeping in but I can't see how anyone can be 'fair game'.

Mind you when Gary Glitter, Huntley and their like go then maybe I'll show my double standards.

I got a joke within minutes of it being announced, it was from a liverpool fan

he aint replied to my reply after i said im gonna open him up

You misread my post. I said there are double standards in that Amy Winehouse seemed to be fair game, yet Gary Speed is not.

If someone wants to make jokes about someone's death, unless they were an evil individual, I'd say they were tasteless whoever they were. One shouldn't be selective abou what is and isn't tasteful.

NB you are quite right, I now think that's quite correct. I can't say I've always practised what I preach previously though, but head has had a wobble. When you hear jokes about this when it's something a bit closer to home then it's not quite as funny...

Wankers who make up sick joke about Speed are fcuking scum the poor lad is still warm, mother fcukers

they are no worse than people who make / send jokes about any tragedy. it is wrong and sick but i am sure plenty on here would be doing it and not batting an eye lid if it was a united player or similar.

Fair do's. I hope the jokes don't reach my mobile becasue I wouldn't like to think that someone I know would think that I find them funny.

Correct

I've absolutley no issue with such jokes, but i wont be participating this time round

If that makes me a hypocrite, then so be it

I dont care if its about Speed or the Munich disaster victims. These people have family and were loved by many, they deserve some respect. Especially people like Speed who was one of the only respectable people left in this game which is full of overpaid greedy idiots. It always happens to the nicest, why can't Abramovic and Ballotelli take his place!

Death jokes should only be made about the true idiots in this world. A wee joke about Hitler, Bin laden and Margaret Thatcher is where my double standards come into play.
