For a Silverstone F1 day experience at a fraction of the price, just do the following:

 

Sit in a traffic jam for 3 hours

 

Listen to a jar of pissed off wasps for 2 hours whilst sat surrounded by people in ?50 tshirts with fucking Vodafone emblazoned all over them. Have a friend wave pictures of f1 cars past your eyes every 30 seconds whilst shaking the jar of wasps.

 

Sit in your car for 6 hours occasionally moving a few inches. Be sure to park near some prick in a BMW who thinks he's ayrton senna.

Anyone can walk into Sport Direct, select an all-purpose club and box of balls/tees for about ?15, spend a further ?10 on a carrier bag full of lager, bitter or cider and you're away. Trespass onto your local golf course and, after/whilst drinking heavily, have a go*...Pissing your trousers is optional in this pursuit, unlike F1.

 

* If anyone takes issue with you, point out this is how Lee Trevino started out, it also helps if you're unsteady on your feet and slurring your words. Brandish your club like a spear - punctuate every; "fucking", "Rupert Bear panted wanker" and "toffee-nosed twat" jibes that you slur with a 'spear' jab to thin air...

 

Edit: If your feeling a bit tired after your round, golf courses also provide the best al-fresco sleeping locations known to man. Wake up on a green feeling refreshed and ready to go again (perhaps after nipping to the offy to restock).

Apparently if you have sky sports1 and 2 then you'll automatically get the F1 channel free.

 

Then again, you'll still be able to watch it on BBC for nowt (well, the 'interesting' races anyway) I know sky will chunner on about it being in 'superb lifelike HD tosswank' etc etc etc but at the end of the day the only advantage over the beeb is the fact that you can watch the grand pricks live from Upper Volta or somewhere equally unimportant on sky and see lots of overpaid tits go round and round and round and round and round...................

 

F1 ceased to exist when Murray Walkers Crisps retired anyway. Fact.

That if you want to watch a procession, you can do it for free when your local church has a march or some of those nice protestors have one.
