If Wolves had drawn 1-1 with Blackburn today, then Bolton and Wolves would be sharing 17th place with equal points, equal goal difference and equal goals scored.

Which led to me thinking what happens if that situation exists at the completion of the league programme (which is clearly feasible).

Apparently the teams are deemed to be equal and presumably share the money allocated to the positions. If the tie affects the title, or qualification for Champions' League or Europa League places, or relegation, then there will be a play-off at a neutral venue.

[Don't know what happens if there is a 3-way tie!]

At the end of the season if there's a tie that affects the releagation issue, I think it goes back to the head-to-head games.

Aye, but if we where to draw 1-1 when we play at theirs in a few weeks, would it then go to who had won the most games over the course of the season?

I think it would, yes.

Forget that, it doesn't even go to head to head.

If points are equal, the goal difference and then goals scored determine the winner. If still equal, teams are deemed to occupy the same position. If there is a tie for the championship, for relegation, or for qualification to other competitions, a play-off match at a neutral venue decides rank.

IF is the middle word of life, it all becomes irrelevant when we dick on the the Gold & Black twats at Molineux, stop being a maudlin bugger, Ive had enough of negativity this season, it's about time everyone got back to getting behind the boys.

COYWM.

So we agree then?

Won't happen. Look at the fixtures,we will be clear of the bottom 3. Qpr, Wolves and Wigan will go down. They have much harder fixtures than us. COYWM.

I think it goes to games won in total, so we would have been ahead of wolves

Goes to a ping pong sudden death eliminator - all part of the genius coyle master plan!!!

All this shouldnt be relevant! I we get a good haul of points from our next 4 games we should be in a more positive frame of mind..

Could be tricky if we're playing Wolves - Jarvis's parents were both table tennis internationals.

So we agree then?

Yes, we do. :D

That's why I said to forget my other comments.

Jarvis' parents, Nick and Linda, both played table tennis professionally and each reached number one in the sport's British rankings.[4] Later they set up the table tennis supplies company Jarvis Sports, which relocated from Guisborough to Guildford in the same year that Jarvis was born.[5]

Fucking hell, 'tis true.

well if we stay up and wolves go down, I think we know who our first signing of the summer will be
