Dens/bases.....

Featured Replies

did you have a den/base as a kid?

my first den consisted of my mums washing maiden thingy used a an apex roofing system wedged between the apple tree and the garage in our old garden.

me and my best mate had a stash box, complete with a pack of his mums fags,a collection of my brothers 'roll-up' dockers(in which im now glad as 8 years old boys we didnt smoke!) a pack on playing cards featuring nude women and one of my brothers clout mags...

then we had a members only den under layton railway bridge...BWFC is still spray painted on that wall...

then as 13 year old just before the scent of vagina hit our young noses,we had masterfull piece of workmanship in the rock gardens constructed with stolen fence panels and plastic sheets nicked from a lorry yard nearby....summer time bong den, then go milk robbing!...jackpot if you found an orange juice...

do kids still have dens and such like?

Maybe they have 'cyber dens'?

My 3 year old loves building dens

My 1 year usually joins him then pulls it down

Resulting in tears from both

I'll wager that Diddles has a den

Used to have atop den in the trees in between cricket field and the allotments on Ellesmere Rd,before semis were built, Sunnyside and Swan lane mills used to have big wicker baskets that were great for hiding in,and burned like fuck on Bommy neet.

we used to have one down at the bank of bobby heywoods near the bowling green, any time we used to find old nudie mags we'd stash them there, one lad must of got confused because he brought a watchtower magazine once.

went back to it one day and some tramp was asleep in it!

We had a den in the woods, got my first 'wet finger' playing 'true - dare - touch - kiss - command or promise' [with wenches of course] :D

Old man used to have a large shed on a farm for storing cwt bags of sand. Mates helped to stack them all to the front of the shed leaving a small passage through to the back. Doors were unlocked then pulled together and bolted so they looked like they were padlocked from the outside. Scrounged curtains to split front from back, carpet offcuts on the floor, posters on the walls, cushions spread around, some battery lamps, radio and a sheep skull on the wall for effect, secret hidey hole for when we found porn mags.

A veritable love nest for me and my mates to invite the girls back to when we teenagers.

My old man never said anything when he found out what we?d done, just smiled.

I used to love making dens, usually with blankets, clothes airers, tables, upturned sofas.

You dont find half burnt porn mags anymore, I'm gutted at this, I take the dog for a walk, and just go round looking.

All these kids get it on them titerwebby things on the mobile phone's I think !

It used to be exciting finding a discarded, as you say half burnt on occassions, or stashed one when I was kid.

Reckon the age of innocence has gone by the time kids leave primary school these days!

God I feel old!!
