July 24, 201214 yr I really fail to see why any normalish person would need a gun in their house. If you want to kill animals, then why not go and pick it up from a gun club en route to doing such a pursuit.
July 24, 201214 yr ahh now i see .i never said i was normal or even normalish.................. what i am is a fine upstanding member of society, with my own business who keeps within the law glad we have given up on the guns are dangerous thing and have now changed to its ok to have a gun but why would you keep it at home? well its called a gun safe for a reason......GUN SAFE...................see what i did there with the words safe and gun ........ July 24, 201214 yr I've not given it up. It's not ok to have a gun in my opinion, but thanks for letting me know I've changed my opinion. And if you don't mind me saying, your posts don't come across as those of a normal person.
July 24, 201214 yr i have had guns all my life killed loads of animals Seriously, I don't get this either. You own a gun so you can shoot animals? For fun, like? ... oh and MickyD, there are utensils out there specifically designed to peel spuds. I suggest you buy one for the Mrs D for her birthday.

July 24, 201214 yr Wasn't some bloke down Farnworth part of a small, but outspoken; pro-gun, firearms don't kill people - people do, 'I keep guns in my house so I can fiddle with them at my own leisure' etc. lobby? Didn't said bloke pop up holding forth on the subject in the BEN at any given opportunity, but mainly in the aftermath of atrocities like Dunblane? Didn't the BEN, in their infinite wisdom, publish not only his name - but his address in such articles and correspondences? Had this not been the case, what are the chances his house wouldn't have been specifically targetted by criminals for burlglary? That criminals, shock horror, are usually quite experienced in breaking into things - locked gun cabinets for example? Wasn't it true his arsenal was stolen and subsequently used in numerous crimes, including an armed robbery within our parish limits that ended in a fatality? I'm sure other posters can fill in the missing information, but I'm 100% sure I've not wrote anything libellous. Finally, in regard to the Colorado gunman, he could have gone to hardware stores, supermarkets or army surplus shops and armed himself to the teeth with; knives, hammers, baseball bats, bayonets etc. Though, I doubt very much he'd have been able to kill 12 and seriously injure 9 with these 'legal' weapons. Anyway, I'm off to Manchester this afternoon, an unsavoury part too - so I'm off to dig out my 'GAT' gun, hopefully I've still got some darts for it knocking about too. I'll take it 'just in case' and any would-be Yardies will get short shrift if they try owt on with me, and I end up poppin' a dat in their ass (literally) Edited July 24, 201214 yr by Youri McAnespie
July 24, 201214 yr I've just read Jon Ronson's "The Psychopath test" its pretty good, they reckon 1% of the population is a psychopath and they are responsible for 80% of violent crime (sounds a made up figure but hey ho).
