Haha, fair enough. I think British people (and I include myself in this) have a bit of a stigma about making a fool out of themselves, and so generally seem to be quite reserved. I get stick for it all the time over here. I think the US is just general not arsed what people think about them, and to be honest that's quite admirable in some ways.

 

The kids here even say "thank you". Although, I think you'd be a bit more polite if there was a 50/50 chance that the owner of the house you're knocking has a loaded shotgun by the front door.

I have a moan about Bolton now and again, but let's be honest a lot of people just love a good moan, I bought some treacle toffee earlier, but realised that's usually for Bonfire night, but I still ate it 'cos Halloween is a special time, it's one of a few occasions when things are different.
