As a money grabbing 17 year old twat the night we beat Charlton at the last game at Burnden I was collecting glasses in town. Crompton's Mule to be precise. I still hate myself for it. I also missed the play off win against Reading as I was on a school trip to Spain.

I was talking about the 1st replay at St James the 2nd replay I was locked out just found the 2nd replay on you tube and its the first time I have seen them highlights, fuck me know wonder I fell in love with football back then the scenes and atmosphere on that video I don't think you will ever see the like of again truly brilliant to watch.

All the Euro aways, but especially Plovdiv and Munich. Couldn't afford it first time around, and then second time around my lad was only a few months old so couldn't get away with it, though I did manage all of the home games.

 

Wasn't allowed to go to games until I was 10/11 and even then it was only if I could tag along with neighbours etc as none of my family are Bolton fans. Can't even begin to list the amount of games from probably 1993-1996 that I used to have to sit and listen to on GMR and wish that I was at the game. Reading play-off final, the league winner at City and the last game at Burnden definitely spring to mind on that score, especially as I'd been allowed to the odd game by that point.

I've been to Watford and Villa at the old Wembley, Middlesbrough at the Millenium and Stoke at the new Wembley but my Dad was pretty ill around the time of the Preston Play Off Final. I had offers to go with friends but didnt want to leave him at home on his own watching it, so didn't go.

 

Although I regret not being at the game, it was nice to watch us get promoted with the old man, and I know he appreciated it.
