For those sliding tackles by the touchline in the first five minutes of every game. 50% resulted in bookings. But the opposition knew they had their hands full and I imagine a number of the namby-pamby millionaire wannabee full-backs at the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, etc were mindful of Kev after that and stayed well clear.

one that I always remember, for the wrong reasons, was v villa in the carling cup semi - angel prob knew he was coming and just nutmegged him - on the extended highlights replay, you can see Davies' reaction along the lines of "oh fucking hell"

  • Making Evra's life a nightmare when he bullied him, and if the story is true when asked by Evra's why he was doing it SKD told him that he didn't like him.   A great servant to the club who is leavi

About 5 or 6 seasons back at home against Wigan. They had a corner which we managed to clear and Davies was running into their half with the ball and it was at about head height. He nodded it on just as the Wigan player went to boot the ball. Wigan player missed it and clattered Davies full on in the face. Davies just carried on running like nothing had happened. He got a big cheer for being hard as nails.

Lat minute goal at Wolves that kept us up and basically sent them down.

That was awesome, dry pitch and he put it past the keeper 25 yards out with a sidefooter which bobbled in. Right behind the flight of it, it was going wide until about 2 yards out. That day there was only one John McGinlay, how I love games against those bastards.
