Coaching Badges

Franny may be best placed for this, but all advice required.

I am wanting to do my football coaching badges, wondering where's best place that does them?

I am also doing my cricket ones too as an aside anyone done them?

Just bear in mind, you may well take them but your current employer may choose to ignore them and still cast you aside. You'd best pre-warn your missus and I hope your little 'un will still be able to sleep.

I did my coaching badges with Shearings.

Have you got your European licence then so you can sharrabang to Llorett De Mar

I did mine at Lancs FA in Leyland.

Good info here http://www.thefa.com/coaches

You could apply for the Dingles Job, they're bound to give superjohnmcginlay an interview! :)

Serious question, for once....

How the fuck are you going to find the time to fit in 2 lots of coaching badges, your "proper" job, looking after the young 'un and everything else you do (drinking red wine, tweeting, wanking & watching Bolton etc)

I did my badge there, the coaches are excellent, bear in mind you have to do 4 days of coaching and 2 sessions at night plus some homework and that's just for the level 1 badge, if you are managing a kids team you can get your club to pay for the coaching course.

Well, the coaching is at weekends, level 1 is four Saturdays or summat,

Cricket is spread out as well over a few Sundays

I am taking 10 weeks off to look after the little one thus gaining my brownie points to allow me to be flexible at weekends, I can sup red wine around all of these whilst tweeting using my iphone (wanker)

I'm not running a team yet mounts but that's where I'm heading hopefully,

I'm starting a plan to do all the things I enjoy and want to do,

We had a friend tother week who thought she had a cold went to docs they ran some tests, lung cancer, told Monday died weds,

Got me thinking, if I got that news would I be happy with what I've done, so decided life's too short,

So along with coaching badges I've developed a plan of things I want to do this includes the family time too

You playing cricket this season pal?

You playing cricket this season pal?

Yes mate, signed for Daisy again were playing Howfen on Saturday,

Is the knee recovered?

Level 2 at cricket. Did it over 6 Sundays (4 hours) I think. Was a few years ago mind. Are you already doing this? If not Tony Potter at Lancs you need to speak to. If you are already doing it, have your club funded it. I'm sure clubs get 2 discounted places each year. I wouldn't imagine you would have to do level 1 either.

Good man.

Knee feels really good ta. Been to three nets sessions (four after tonight) and played footie a couple times and feels tip-top.

Season starts for us a week on Saturday. Looking forward to it! Just hope it warms up a bit.

Level 1 is basically for parents that help out. If you're playing senior cricket you'll get onto level 2. If you're prepared to actually coach/run a junior side once you've passed I'd imagine Daisy will pay for it all.

Participation in Sport lecture from a Jock was never going to get a nibble.
