Guest Blixa Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 If anyone buys a replica shirt with 'Quick Quid' on the front (over primary school age), you are a complete and utter fuckwit. Mind you, plenty sold with the bookies on the front. Quote
no balls Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Is there a list of ethically acceptable sponsors somewhere? Quote
superkev Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I'm sure teams sponsored by alcoholic drinks don't give a shit and alcohol is one of the biggest killers going if abused. If you abuse quick quid you get stung if you pay back on time it's not too bad as discussed before. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Ethics will never really come into the pro game - everyone is too desperate to keep up with the spending race - and most fans wouldn't want it any other way. Quote

Guest Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Is there a list of ethically acceptable sponsors somewhere? You'd have to ask if they were up for being sponsors, but these are our seven in the world's top 145 "UK firms Premier Farnell and the Northumbria Water Group were included for the third year running, alongside the Ethical Fruit Company, which appears for the second time. And after winning Retailer of the Year at New Energy & Cleantech Awards 2013 in March, Marks & Spencer also makes it onto the list. “Being recognised as a leader among the world’s most ethical companies shows that the programmes we have been implementing over the past few years are being noticed and appreciated”, read a statement from National Grid, another UK firm to be recognised. The Co-operative Group made it onto the rundown, after launching its ethical plan for 2013-15 last month, while Thomson Reuters is the seventh and final UK firm to be picked out by the Ethisphere Institute" Quote

Buying a shirt with the sponsor does not make someone a fuckwit, it means they don't have an issue with a licenced money lender being out sponsor. Quote

What they used to do I presme, which was the door to door lender who were sharks. These folk work within the law, so I'd say if there's any burning effigies to be made maybe one of folk who set up the Consumer Credit Act of 1974. Was it Labour & Harold Wilson? Quote
