Let's face it - payday lending in Bolton is probably a boom industry...   Town is a desperate shithole, you know it, I know it, we all know it. But BWFC, for all their faults, are one source of prid

Well I am not upset by it and i totally get it, but I do think it's a shit cheap small time sponsor that in turn makes the kit look shit, bit like when they introduced 188 bet and them shit thin stripes

Fortunately I still have enough kits with reebok on them to wear for exercise and that so I don't need to buy one

I dont even think this quick quid rumour is true

I hope we get the highest offer, no matter who it is

Except Betfred

Every large company in the land had some form of morally incorrect nature about its business.

Petrol companies rip us off, energy companies rip old grannies off,Microsoft break every anti capitalist law under the sun.

Where's there's blame there's a claim firms bump insurance premiums through the roof, primark have their clothes made in illegal sweatshops, supermarkets sell 3 litre bottles of 9% cider for £3 a go,gambling companies entice customers with free bets, drug companies get people hooked on pain killers and anti depressants.,,

The list is fucking endless...

But quick quid are getting it in the neck because a fruit cake set himself on fire.

Petition my arse, will be about as successful as the 'say no to horwich' one in the king bill.

Muppets.

Oh so that's it then what ever you don't agree with, turn a blind eye, say nothing, just accept it. fancy people having different opinions on things. Just because you might not be bothered which company sponsors our club. No, any petition or protest probably won't change anything, but if you don't try.

Have we really sunk so low that we've got loan sharks sponsoring the shirt?

Not long ago we were a global brand winning the Asia Cup in front of eleventy seven zillion people on Asian TV.

Fuuuuucking hell.

Well I don't know about any fucker else but it's. the last straw for me

I will not cross the threshold of the reebok until we have an ethical sponsor

I'm off to but my ST at chorley, come on you magpies!!

I think you can stand up too. Get me one too if you're going.

I'll bring a box to stand on.

What I was trying to point out is that there a gazillion companies whose moral code of conduct is less than perfect yet people are getting their knickers in a twist and taking the moral high ground over a poxy loan company sponsoring our shirts.

Yes it's a bit shit,yes it's small time.

But they are hardly the Mafioso, its a fucking loan company.

Yes of course they exploit their market in ways some see as immoral, but fuck me which company doesn't??

Like I think NB hinted at earlier in the thread, theres not that many companies we could have as sponsor that haven't in some broken someones moral compass.

As for the whole loan company shit slinging,Like has been said a lot on this thread, how come the plonkers that get themselves in such a mess with companies escape the blame? The terms and conditions are plain for all to see,if they paid the money back when they were supposed to then there would be no problem whatsoever.

Gonzo, you might be a vile druggie thug, but that was pretty eloquently put.

I don't think anyone's cockahoop at the new sponsor but they're a legitimate company .

I'm gonna win tonights lottery and sponsor the shirt with the name CUCKOO

Just out of curiosity, how many of those having no problem with the payday loan companies have claimed ppi back ?

After all, the ppi was in the t&c's .......

I'd let Pol Pot sponsor the shirt if it was a global brand putting in decent wedge.

Its a measure of how far we have fallen.

That's the only issue I have. It makes us look small time, but I suppose we are really if that's the best we can get .

......wasn't the problem with the whole PPI thing that the wording in the Ts & Cs was wrong, and that's the basis of folks claim?

I agree it does make us look small time, but sadly we are at the minute, thanks to the last few years of mismanagement.

I claimed PPI back off Barclays.

But then again I didn't start rolling round on the floor crying when they sponsored our division either.

I suppose we are really if that's the best we can get .

I disagree.

I've not really had an issue with Gartside and the like but they're pulling a seven figure sum between them. If they want to earn big bucks they have to deliver. We are not Man Utd or Liverpool but neither are we a pub team.

Getting the local loan shark in at a couple of grand a week as the shirt sponsor is a big failure of those who are meant to be professionals in their field.

If thats the best my Commercial/Marketing Director could pull in he'd be out of the door and back selling double glazed windows or whatever.

I disagree.

Or how about those that are against Quick Quid and have claimed PPI back?

fucking hypocrits

I can't see us having a host of sponsors lining up personally

I disagree.

IF the rumours are true, its more than anything we received in our 10 years in the prem.

I would say it could only be classed as failure if its a smaller deal than our other divisional rivals are getting for their shirt deals. I don't know how much this deal is worth, or how much the likes of Blackburn, Forest, Brighton etc get in terms of sponsorship. Now as we are a Championship team, I would expect that those who broker the deals know how much we should be generating in sponsorship deals, you would hope that they've got the best deal available to us (I doubt folk have been battering the door down to be associated with us)

I presume Gartside has got the best deal he can for the club, and presumably the clubs owner has to agree to any deal, so he should/would ensure its the deal that will generate most money for the club......which is all that matters really I suppose.

Last season list of Championship sponsors.

Just offering comparison.

Must admit, I couldn't tell you who sponsored us last year

118 bet or 188 bet

I wouldn't be on either of them

That's part of the problem

I see us play as much as most and it's not got into my head

Anyway, just for comparison, who sponsors the other teams in this league, I'm thinking it must be the likes of amazon and microsoft
