Blows the Xbox one away, e3 really was a massive win for Sony.

Gangnam Style was shit.

I've been strictly an Xbox guy for years, but there's no way I can justify getting an Xbox over the ps4

go on then

in simple terms, why ps4

100 quid cheaper

Can run preowned games

No need to sign in on line daily

What are you comparing it to?

Xbox ones?

So many people saying they're going to change from XBOX to Playstation, Sony are getting rave reviews whilst Microsoft are getting slated, not that it's a bad next gen, it just doesn't compare, they have a lot of things that need changing before it's released.

The exclusive titles Playstation has is alsi for me is another plus, ports will play a part on games released with the PS4 launch but give it a few or so months and gaming is gonna be on a whole new level, they'll be no cross platform, so if you like FIFA, you'll need to buy it on both PS3 and PS4(or wait for PS4) and have your online mates have a ps4 too.

As I said before, wish Sony could have got this launched before September(GTA 5 Battlefield 4 and Fifa 14), well even before this week because of the 'the last of us' from Naughty Dog,

Oh and I really like PS4's new controller and the PS4 box is really sleek.

It'll be a while before the PS3 get's put in the cupboard.

The Sony presentation has just addressed things people didn't like about the MS one, rather than promote their own product.

6 months until they are actually available, a lot will change in that time. Ultimately, it's all about the games. And we haven't really seen them yet.

Geeks.

I'm thinking of upgrading and I'm in a similar quandary...Amiga or Atari ST?

The mind boggles...

You'll never get those hours back lads, think on. :)

Toughie. The ST is quicker at 8Mhz, but the Amiga has a Copper (Co-processor) and Blitter chip. ST has a better MIDI interface.

Is playing computer games any sadder than sitting in watching the telly every night? Not in my book.

However, if it gets in the way of actually doing stuff, socialising, etc then there's something not right about that.

Pissing down and freezing cold, fire up a game. Using consoles whilst the sun shine is against protocol unless you are under 18.

I'm a layman so...Which is best to take down to the Excel Centre on a Sunday for 'swap' meets and other 'pirating' purposes?

Were you C64 or Speccy 128k?

I always thought graphics were miles better on the C64 (thinking instantly of Renegade) but the lads at school (Spectrum fan boys) used to reckon the graphics were better on the Speccy, it was just that the Commodore had more colours..?

This

I feel like im wasting my life playing new star soccer whilst having a dump on the bog at work.

I dunno, I've done my fair share of being sat on a beanbag in front of a glaring screen with aching hands and wrists...

I've done my fair share of 'gaming' as well ;) 'clocking' quite a few games that must've took a good few days in total to do apiece. I give up when the first Playstation came in, didn't like the controls...

You don't immediately get in from somewhere and flick the telly on and sit compulsively watching it for hours and hours though do you? Jazza mentioned doing in about twelve hours straight t'other week, you wouldn't flick the telly on to kill five minutes and be sat watching twelve hours later would you...

Anyway, each to their own and that, could be up to worse stuff I suppose - but, that's also my point thinking about it, you really should be getting up to 'worse' stuff in a lot of cases.

All those Commie bastards used to rip my 128k for the shit colours and wanky sound...

They loved their blocky as fuck graphics on the Commodore.

Maybe not, but I reckon more folk plan their lives around when soaps, Xfactor, etc are on and that seems to attract far less criticism (not just off here, but in general).

As I said earlier though, if 'gaming' gets in the way of having a social life, going to the pub, playing sports or whatever then of course that's a bit sad.

... but is it any sadder than folk who just sit in their houses night after night just watching telly and films? I don't reckon so.

Sick off, fan boy.

I think my original comment was probably due in part that in weather like we had (up until today) the thought of doing either sounds completely shite imho...

I've an injury (not wank-related), so went for a walk to burn a few calories last night, in this weather - the view of the hills looking toward town from the brow on Plodder Lane...It favvered fucking Tuscany it did.

Hope you took your Atari Lynx with you?

No idea, I got 0 day warez from my mate with a modem. Or my mate who worked in the shop in the Shipgates.

Speccy for me as they were £129. C64 was clearly better as the Speccy only had single channel sound and on one 8x8 pixel character you could only have 2 colours, hence attribute clash, where the C64 had sprites. But the Speccy was more endearing.
