I've seen one of those modems in action - absolute shite...Took about half an hour to 'send' the code to print off a shitty black and white picture of a telephone.

 

I can't see them catching on, I really can't - what the f*ck would you use it for?

Bastard! Four 'go's so far and I still can't do 'Central Cavern'.

I've got a cracking Speccy emulator on my tablet, Marvin, it's hooked up to World of Spectrum so you can load and play games. Just need to program the little keyboard thing to the correct keys.

Manic Miner was pretty good for loading, Jet Set Willy 2 though...different story.

 

Anything that was 'big' seemed to fuck up at the last minute...'Target - Renegade' and the monumentally shite 'Combat School' spring to mind.

 

Some of the shite they'd send automatically as 'Game of the Month' if you were in that club (similar to the CD clubs) - fucking hell they've died a death haven't they?

 

Once upon a time you couldn't buy a magazine without shitloads of leaflets for those clubs falling out.

Always been a Playstation man (apart from the Super Nintendo and Nintendo64 years).

 

The PS4 just looks better in most areas, plus you seem to be getting more with it than if you went with the Xbox.

 

Saw this on Twitter today, the cost is in Dollars but is still pretty relative in the comparisons.

 

 

The graphics on the trailers do look excellent, seen this a few times but it still amazes me, think I'll have to purchase it.

It doesn't really work like that. I'm not quite sure myself but I've been told you don't get permanently banned or anything like that.

Right, how I see it is, you're playing a game offline, without an ethernet cable or wireless connection. After the 24th hour of playing said game your Xbox will kick you off the game and won't let you go back onto any games until you've connected to the internet. Sounds pretty shit to be honest if you play games on single player and the like.

 

Rules the console out for offline gamers however most likely means that Xbox will be getting more exclusive games ie. Titanfall

And why has it become 'gaming' all of a sudden (well, the past twenty years since, coincidentally, I stopped playing them ) You're playing games and (most of you) live with your parents, not 'the 'rents'.
