Season's What You Loved.

87/88 and the long road back to the good times, only a 4th division side but the fun and games I had was a treat.

92/93. Andy Walker scoring with our first attack of the season, abusing Vinny Jones as Wimbledon knocked us out of the League Cup, Bazzer Crazy Legs Cowdrill playing for Sutton Coldfield in the FA Cup, Jason McAteer scoring on his debut in the FA Cup against Rochdale, White Hot, Dances With Wolves, Phil Brown the oldest swinger in town when we beat Burnley away, that Bank Holiday when we filled Springfield Park, Hull on a Friday night, the real Jules Darby beating Lou Macari's Stoke, ultimately promotion.

Never to be beaten. There's loads of people my age who missed it. WTF.

Another one in for 92/93, I loved our 3 years under BRUCE

78-79

and 94-95

77-78. We should have gone up the previous 2 seasons but the determination of the team that season culminating in that night at Ewood will always beat anything since. Bearing in mind that we came down from the top division in 1964, it was a long haul back. Hopefully, history won't repeat itself but be prepared!

:good:

100% agree + Bazzer Crazy Legs now works in my local leisure centre, managing the bar. He is still a legend. Anyone planing to come to the Bournemouth game in November let me know & I'll get him to come for a pre-match pint. In fact his bar is about 15 minute walk from the ground so we could even meet in there.

02-07 - star players, Prem top-8s, Euro jolleys, beating the rich boys.

96/97 - lots of big wins & a title.

92-95 - terrific cup wins, 2 promotions, great football.

77/78 - great promotion season.

58/59 - 4th in top level, missed 3rd on goal average.

57/58 - well, you know .....

Can't choose between them.

I felt better times coming in 72-73 under Amazing Jim. Remember the whole season vividly including the opening 3-0 win over Bournemouth to the final day home win 2-0 over Brentford.

77-78. That night at Ewood after two years of just missing. Unforgettable.

I remember that day for another reason that you'd appreciate. Picked my TV175 up from a shop in Bury in the morning. It had a slow puncture so had to stop a couple of times on the way back to inflate before heading off to the match.  :)

77-78 for me too went to most of the away games ending at ewood.... fantastic

It was already an orgasmic day but acquiring a TV175 on the same day!!!??? Emotional overload!!! Series 1, 2 or 3?

It petered out a bit, granted, but I've got fond memories of 89/90. Beating Watford over two legs in the League Cup was pretty exciting in those days, and it led to the Swindon tie, which was fucking ace. The second replay would have been the biggest crowd I'd been in at Burnden (I wouldn't go to the rugby with my mates), with about 13,500 of the 14,000 gate packed into half the paddock. It all went wrong from mid-March - we limped into the play offs without expectation and were duly dispatched by Notts County. Mind you, just being in the play offs without staring into an abyss felt like a success at the time.

Series 3. The puncture was just the start of the problems but but generally it was a good scooter. Cost me £100!

Going back to that season, we started off the season with a crowd of 7,133 and went up as champions with that win against Brentford in front of a crowd of 21,646! JCL'S !
