They are growing on me. The entertainment value at the Hamburg Freezers is brilliant. The build up and atmosphere are class. I even like the drum.

Is baseball worth a go?

Is baseball worth a go?

Yes, if you like grown men in pyjamas playing rounders.

Mind you, you're already well on the way towards those criteria.

Ice Hockey is Canadianised.

I can't cope with whooping & holaing so I am out

Saw the NY Rangers and it was a brilliant experience

Never though I had no idea where the puck was half the time

Thumbs up from me

Used to regularly watch the Storm at the nynex.

Never got in to watching the NHL on telly though.

Ice Hockey live is a completely different then watching it on the TV, the speed and the violence of the hitting does not come across on the TV, and at times watching it live you forget that they are on ice, most people can’t walk on it let along move at those speeds on 1/8" steel blades. Figuring out where the puck is comes with experience , get yourself over to Altringham and watch it there ( a lot lower level but good anyway) and they are unbeaten this season 7-0 so far

Football here is becoming Americanised. Pre match and half time malarkey and have just seem Steve Clark referred as 'Head Coach'. What's wrong with manager because it's the same as far as I can see. How long will it be before shirts are retired ( I know one or two have such as Vivien foe, but that's slightly different).

Play offs in both forms of rugby so not vitally important to win the league.

20/20 cricket, with music after every 6. I know it is to try and make it more interesting for TV and make more money but it takes the soul of out the game.

I'm a traditionalist.

Not forgetting MK Dons moving the franchise to a more financially lucrative market

Think he still holds the UK record for the most points in one game. Were the basketball team actually called Bolton Wanderers? or did i dream it?

Happy days.

I went watching them at Htown Lesh, that's some years ago.

I think I went on the back of seeing Alton Byrd play or something.

Bolton Bees they were in my memory. That was at Horwich I think?

aye, they played at horwich, silverweel st and burys castle leisure centre

maybe others too

they played as bolton wanderers as part of our bid to rival real madrid

My old man put money, and a lot of time into Bolton Bees. Can't remember the details but something went amiss at some point and he got out.
