December 16, 201312 yr I went to all league and cups games watching the whites that season, cost me a bloody fortune. It's the only season I've done it .
December 17, 201312 yr Second most depressing game in London that I've ever been to. Second most depressing game ive ever been to, the other was also against Watford.
December 17, 201312 yr After the Stoke fiasco? Yep. That Stoke game was my last attended game before I emigrated. I watched the Arsenal game on TV the week after, so at least I left on a win, but what a crappy last live game to attend.
December 17, 201312 yr Second most depressing game in London that I've ever been to. My most depressing game in London would be the spineless relegation at Chelsea. We were supposed to be on a late train back, but after the game nobody could be arsed with it & sulked onto the first train back. Second would be the Stoke fiasco. Other Wembley defeats & the 4-1 at Charlton were softened by pre & post match drinking. ( I couldn't remember getting off the train at Euston for the Tranmere final )
December 17, 201312 yr Getting hammered 5-0 at Chelsea on a Sunday was pretty crap. So was the tupping at Spurs 6-0. Think I drove to both. Shite Edit...nothing ever, ever will beat Stoke though. Edited December 17, 201312 yr by gonzo
December 17, 201312 yr I saw the highlights of the game a few weeks ago, didn't realise just how many decent chances we had in that game. We were still crap though

Gonzo, it was 5-1 at Chelsea mate I didn't miss home or away that season. We were still stuck in traffic when the Arsenal v Liverpool game FINISHED and it was the late kick off. Bloody Londoners late night shopping. Not sure whether Leicester followed, might have been Newcastle 4-3 and then Leicester with record crowd when we came back to draw 2-2 with nine men

December 17, 201312 yr Wasn't the Newcastle 4-3 the year after Leicester on Boxing day?Record crowd Leicester game and 9 man Leicester game were 2 different games I think
December 17, 201312 yr my apologies - the 2-2 was in December 2001 same season we beat them 5-0 away. Record crowd later on
December 17, 201312 yr Was also in December (2003) and reason I was confused was that it also finished two apiece
December 17, 201312 yr Author My memory aint what it used to be but I think I remember late 70s to late 80s where we seemed to go for a number of years without a win in London and we broke the duck at Brentford.
