Players Who We Had And Went On To Better Things.

Icey what you're getting at here.

are you implying it all ended in disaster :innocent:

Yep Carlos, spot on, they all went on to better things. Then again are they better off than when they left us? Barring Jussi who was sat on a Premier League team's bench anyway?

Brian Burrows, good call.

He was head n shoulders above the other shite we had playing at the time, who bought him from Everton,Was it McGovern, Charlie wright or maybe Phil Neal who bought & sold him??? think we got £80,000 at the time.

McGovern signed him for £5k from Everton & apparently we struggled to find the fee.

Jimmy Armfield took Leeds to a European Cup final when he left us.

Brian Clough couldn't.

exactly why coyle could've done

he'd have let them manage themselves

a skill allardyce had, a skill that only works when you sign the players with the discipline to do what was required

coyle failed miserably on that count

Don McAllister had a decent career for a bit. According to Wikipedia - and therefore bob-on, went to Washington (USA - not T & W), Charlton and Tampa Bay Rowdies and even managed Barnet.

Danny Ward....

McAllister wasn't one of your 'written off ' types was he

Just got frustrated cos he was behind Jones and Allardyce and a move to Spurs wasn't a kick in the bollocks

Wonder if he ever came back to Radcliffe

Again , according to the ever bob-on Wikipedia he moved to Australia to be an account manager or something.
