March 13, 201412 yr Here's another way to look at it.....if money was no object (and cost does seem to be the big issue for most) would folk prefer to have a Mac or a PC?

Infact, smiley asked something on here once, I think it was how to rip the music from a youtube video, I found half a dozen programs which did the job simply and effectively. The standard answer of "none of these work on a mac" came back though.

The standard answer of "none of these work on a mac" came back though. Because they were written for a PC. Eventually found plenty of others that did work for Mac. Guess now that many folk of jumped on the Mac bandwagon, more and more stuff will be written for Macs and it will be more readily available. Horses for courses I guess. Most folk I know who have gone to Mac have stayed and never gone back.
March 13, 201412 yr I've had the mac for 5 years ish now. Never ever had a problem with it. In that time must have gone through about 4 PC's at work. This is the only post that needs reading on this thread. same with me and same with all my mates who made the switch for the very same reason. 5 years and I haven't had ONE single problem with it. If I could be arsed id search this bit of the forum and find the number of 'help my pc/laptop has broke' v 'help my mac has broke'

March 13, 201412 yr The reason things don't go wrong with apple products as much is that they are aimed at mongtards. You have no power as a user to do anything they won't allow you to. You can't even change the battery on our pegs iphone. People move to macs because they are. plantpots who don't know how to and won't learn how to use a pc. They want a system that holds their hand every step of the way and won't let them step off the predetermined path. Macs give them this.

I completely agree with all that I am that person without putting words into your mouth, are you say everyone that has had problems with a windows pc/laptop made the wrong decision and should have got a mac instead?

What if you had a brand new top of the range Ford Sony Vaio and a brand new 'bargain buy' Vauxhall Acer that both kept cutting out due to overheating? true story by the way
March 13, 201412 yr I'd send them back under warranty. If they were out of warranty I'd spend £7.50 and £6.00 on a new CPU fan. If my Porsche book pro overheated though, I'd have to take it to a 'genius' and get raped.

March 14, 201412 yr Key point being mine and every other mac user I know has seen off every single laptop we've had. Iv spent less on a mac than laptops. The cheapest isn't always the better value for money. Dress it upp you want, the fact is you will find more unhappy pc/laptop users than mac users percentage wise. Infact it woukd be a landslide
