Sand from a hopper fills the gaps made and then the surface soil comes together again. All is then seeded and fed but unfortunately the dry spell meant nothing grew and the joints became hard resulting in a corrugated outfield. It was so bad that had this been a normal cricket season we probably couldn't have staged any games until about now because of the surface. Quote
