The machine has a row of rotary blades which penetrate about a foot down to open the soil. Sand from a hopper fills the gaps made and then the surface soil comes together again.  All is then seeded and fed but unfortunately the dry spell meant nothing grew and the joints became hard resulting in a corrugated outfield. It was so bad that had this been a normal cricket season we probably couldn't have staged any games until about now because of the surface.

Bradshaw had a friendly arranged for this Saturday v Edgworth but apparently they’re all on lockdown so we’re now playing Greenmount.

We're doing shite.  Ours 1sts have lost every game they've played and our 2s have won 1, lost 3.

Our 3rds beat Horwich in what looked like a really good game yesterday though.

They should have won seeing their first team opening batter played 🤣🤣

Hearing that Eagley and Egerton were both ‘visited’ by police over the weekend. I believe Eagley have been closed down for not conforming to social distancing rules.
