Mounts Kipper Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) Aye,weirdly I've been in the Qpr end twice at Blackpool and spent the day with some of their older lot. (Smiffs knows who I'm on about) I was very surprised how boisterous they were. They were going crackers in and around the Old Bridge Inn singing this daft song with loads only R's in it. One of em was a night game and they kicked off in Brannigans. Never seen fuck all of em at any Bolton game mind. One game sometime in the 80s I guess Bolton led by J.C. Went to meet QPR think it was outside the Lever end big QPR black lad held them together Bolton did not get the better of them Miami might be able to recall it. Also remember the little off we had with some of there lads walking back after the game where Okocha played his first game again they held firm my mate had a lovely cut head after that brush with them. leigh white Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Seem to recall a big black Palace fan with a very loud shirt on who got sussed on Manny rd walking to the match. Quote
Ratwhite Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Lets hope next season is the same I'd blooming well hope. Neah, demand they were better. That would point to an upturn in form Quote
davidjack Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Would be great to average 20k next season if we start well and have a promotion push...with a 2k away average. Given that 90 per cent of what's been served up this season has been dire, with worst start in over a hundred years etc, to be in the top 10 home and away crowds is impressive in my opinion. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Away followings from most clubs have improved in recent times, even the 'little' clubs seem to take several hundred to most games. When we played at Burnden, remember plenty of games were there was less than 50 fans on the away end. Our away followings last season are nowt remarkable compared to others. Quote
