May 2, 201511 yr Yeh I reckon you're reet with Crompton Way Mr Va va. Some fairly major bands played the venue back in the day apparently, I think the Rolling Stones might have played there, but I could have dreamt it. May 2, 201511 yr Don't know about the Rolling Stones but Dusty Springfield ( & others I think ) played at the Odeon, & Major Lance appeared at the Va Va !!
May 2, 201511 yr I was just a bit too young to do the Va va unfortunately, but enjoyed a good few years at Wigan casino, Blackpool Mecca, Ritz in M/cr and Samanthas all nighter in Sheffield. Happy days KTF.
May 3, 201511 yr Yes - Bolton Casino was on Crompton Way, was the Bees Knees and is indeed now a NISA. Had some good soul acts on there - also saw Bob & Earl there.
