Since 1968

Which one club hasn't finished in the top 6 of any of the top four divisions (of all clubs who have been in the league the whole time)?

Coventry

Coventry

too fuckin easy!

have they never been promoted then?

I'd guess not. Hanging on to the top league for years, then dropping like a stone. But enough about our problems.

just read the since 1968 bit

according to wiki, they finished 6th in 1969/70

I watched Burton v Coventry on sunday, commentator said then it was 1970 last time they finished in top 6 of any division but I didn't check to see if it was in fact 1968 or not

Piss poor is that.

It's an anomaly based on the fact they were in the top division for fucking years.

I wonder if they were happy when they first got relegated. The chance to be a big fish and visiting new grounds and so on............

At least they won an FA Cup along the way.

Its an amazing stat that. There were many times in the 80s and 90s id have loved us to be Coventry, if they could consistently survive in the top division with 12,000 fans why couldn't we sort ourselves out as a club.

And yet Sam's team of 2004/05 that finished 6th were better than anything Coventry could offer

Ogrizovic out

I loved their brown kit in th'80s
