April 14, 201610 yr Il Toro has gone a bit shit. The Rivington too. Cherry Tree is still the pick of the parish. The Yew Tree at Anglezarke are clearly making a push for a Michelin star with that new chef they've just taken on. He's been on telly and everything.

April 14, 201610 yr Is the Cherry Tree any good now? Not been in for a few years and it was pretty average. Went to the Yew Tree over Christmas, decent grub but they stopped serving ale at 10 wtf.

Cherry Tree is absolutely superb. Yew Tree rarely has many people in past 10pm so not surprised they close early.
April 14, 201610 yr Another vote for Cherry Tree here. We went for a Sunday Lunch set meal the other week and wasn't expecting much. Some of the tastiest food I've had for a long time and wouldn't have batted an eyelid if we'd paid double. Nice decor as well!
