4 month running daughters account has been shafted. Now stands at over £100 in unwanted premium texts sent to her. Contacted O2 and asked them to block. They in turn gave me the contact for the company who were sending the texts. They wouldn't reimburse costs but said they'd block all further messages.

Bingo.... have they fuck.

Totally fucked off now.

This happened with lad, went to Giff Gaff, you need credit for none "goodybag" items so no credit no premium text messages. Giff Gaff is on o2 network too.

There usually is. I complained to the self-regulating body and got nowhere, I did feel better after replying with "Fuck Off Cunts and Hope You Die Soon" in the largest readable font

Apparently and apparently its been done. But still getting charged.

Spoke to them directly and they said they would stop all charges. But haven't.

To call them its £2.99 per minute. As you can imagine, they aren't going to rush to speak with you as they are making £££s from you calling them.

Go in the phone shop, thrust the phone at them and explain that as they haven't fulfilled their part of the contract then you weren't going to fulfil your part. Then cancel the Direct Debit and go elsewhere.

Hard work .... persevere. Threatened to issue proceedings so they could explain it in court and reporting to ombudsman eventually resulted in fine for operator. 

Forgot to say in my first message, that I'd contacted them 5-6 weeks ago to get the charges stopped.

O2 have been nothing short of useless with this.

Oxygen8 are the company allegedly running this tidy scam.

Users usually inadvertently 'sign up' for these by clicking on links to win stuff on social media. Sending STOP or STOP ALL should end it.

 

You should be able to see who the texts are coming from, usually 5 digits, a quick Google to get the address from payphoneplus should get you their contact details. Ring them up and demand a full refund, they usually do.

We don't know cos the number was blocked on the phone. So even though they aren't received, they are still sent and billed. No idea at all.

Read through their threads. It would appear this short code has changed hands 2-3 times in the course of the year. Owners are in either Holland or Belgium.

Phoned them yesterday and they aren't answering or calling back as their message states.

They were clearly told on 9 December by phone and agreed to do so, to cancel all future texts. The day after the charges started again.
