My point isn't about the validity of a hotel's food hygiene it is about the cold calling. It all seemed very random that they'll hit upon someone who had a shit holiday because of poor service.

How would you prove it though?

 

With PPI, delayed flights etc you need proof

 

you can't just say you had the shits after a hotel buffet in turkey and cite the place and dates you stayed, can you?

 

Surely you'd have to have a doctors note or hospital record, or something and chances are if it was not recent you won't

Mate's stag do in Barcelona a few years ago. 8 hour delay for the flight coming back. We just booted a football around an empty terminal and ate the free sandwiches they gave us. Thought nowt about until it was announced that we could claim. Thing is he's an accident claims solicitor so was straight on it as he had all the flight bookings as he'd sorted it all out. Got fuck all as the airline had kept changing the expected arrival time as the night went on and they got out of it on a legal loophole. He knew what he was doing but had to admit that the airline were very clever.
