November 30, 20178 yr Then Gartside turned down Bon Jovi, as he'd never heard of them and we were off the list as a serious venue. I was told a different story with regards to Bon Jovi. I believe Garty backed the wrong promoter. Presume BJ put it out to tender or whatever. Two promoters went for it. Ours lost. T’other promoter had gone with Huddersfield as his northern venue.
