Safe Standing . . . Again

Featured Replies

If someone can justify that there is a genuine increase in safety in an all-seater vs the safe standing proposal then fair enough. But so far I fail to see how safe standing would be any less safe.

I think there is plenty of evidence to show that safe standing is safer than standing in all-seater stadia

And sitting in an all seater stadium is safer still.

It's not cheap. Read online that someone like Shrewsbury wanted it but had to crowdfund the £60k it cost for just 2500 rail seats. Can't imagine Ken fancying that

I could see a section of standing behind a goal, for example, being a great way to generate more atmosphere and make it a more intimidating place for away teams.

Would be very popular with the yoof I'd bet.

Fook that  :D

Crowd funding. Best of both worlds.

I would love to see safe standing areas but we will never see this at the Macron. I think the best we can hope for is what we have at the moment in the ESL scoreboard corner, possibly with the addition of areas with unreserved seating.
