My dad brought home our first colour TV in the mid 70s. It was a Grundig with the first wireless remote I'd ever seen. All it had were five buttons' on/off, channel up and down and volume up and down.

The remote provided hours of fun during school holidays when all my school friends would descend on my house while mum and dad were at work. One girl, in particular, was so scared of being zapped, probably after some great theatrical acting by someone else, that she offered to do a strip for us as long as we didn't shoot her with the zapper. Happy days indeed.

Tracey, if you ever read this, the zapper never actually emitted a painful zap. But hey, you never got zapped either.

I remember my mates TV had a remote on a wire that fitted in the side of the set, was well impressed.

Trying to find Super Science With Bez as he deals with a lost remote is taxing.
