BN saying interest in building 280 homes on the site.

A really pleasant walk to the match for Lostock residents could be mashed!

Good or bad idea?

Ha!

If we get some infrastructure to go with it, why not a few executive homes?

It isn’t well used these days

I expect the public footpath will be retained.

Legally the footpath would have to be. Maybe it's a bridleway as it's used by cyclists?

Could be diverted a bit, but can't be closed without particularly specific evidence (which there isn't at the moment) eg security/major crime etc.

Would be a shame though, BN comments about the biodiversity and green belt status. The importance of which is becoming more understood daily.

My main concern is that Bolton Council aren’t good historically at improving infrastructure

That said, we now have a Conservative council, so that might help.

Meeting tonight. Council says no plans.

Not sure it's even going to get to a planning stage. Yet.
