It's more than GBH.

In the 90s i used to see a hairdressers with a big sign in the window advertising " we sell GHD" i always thought it was maybe a similar legal party drug.

I was in my 30s before some girls explained what it was. & I thought i was down with the cool kids. Oops.

Luckily we were wise enough to not leave our flat.

Though I did work at argos the following morning and the colour explosion in the store of the laminated book of dreams made me realise I wasn't quite back to normal.

I spent my 4 hour shift laughing my head off in the warehouse setting all the kids toys off.

Sounds like my days working at Index after doing the Rock World all nighters.

So many days spent fighting sleep and suffering from the night before. First tram home shower and straight out to work.

I used to get the bus in to manc when I lived in Rusholme and see the aftermath of rock world at 7am... Fuck me it was like a zombie apocalypse played by the member of the Darkness! 🤣

I was more of a music box man myself.

Didn't stay all night often only friends birthdays and Good Friday (last tram was at 10 so fuck going home then) the tide of moshers, punks and goths over to maccies was pretty steady from 6 when they opened.

Having to go to work was a good way to ditch the lass you'd been getting amorous with all night. And the lack of social media meant no photographic reminders if she turned out to be a reet munter.

Getting smashed enough to fall asleep/ pass out always helped me out with staying awake at work the next day.
