Today's defeat

Featured Replies

Pompey made it difficult for us today, getting plenty behind the ball and a solid defence.

Us, well, run out of ideas. Could have been different if Diouf had bagged his chance in the first half.

Okocha doesn't look match fit and his shooting was worse than Roy Greaves.

On the whole, can't complain much about the defeat as we never looked like beating them.

No win in 4 games now, I'm getting worried that we're on a slide down the league. Still a much better position in the league that I would have hoped for.

spot on happy

also the people who were going mad about them time wasting can shut up its only what we do when we go away

Every team goes through a dodgy spell....no matter who the team is,

but i feel a nose dive down the league ..coming on

Why the Fukc do Bolton manage to ease the pressure on opposition teams?

WBA, hadn't won a game. Solution? Play Bolton. Problem solved!

Aston Villa, no away wins. Solution? Play Bolton. Problem solved!

Portsmouth, no away wins. Solution? Play Bolton. Problem solved!

FFS, we only beat Palace 1 - 0!

How do we always manage to let the smaller clubs off the hook but manage to get results against bigger teams? Is there a motivational problem here?

Stelios is a cock.

Stelios is a cock.

Agreed,

What does he actually do.

Throw himself around at the slightest opportunity.

Campo's worst game since Man City away last season too.

i'm 37 now ( but look.....21) :^o .. but i've been watching them for kin ages ..its always been the same with us....beat the top teams...lose to shite...

how many times have we given a goal away in the last seconds ](*,)

it was the same in the 80's .....and my old man informed me it was the same in the 60's and 70's ....

its something we must enjoy doing

He was the cock in the funny wig who kept hitting the ball long, too long.

We deserved nothing from today's game and I'm afraid Mr Hunt was the poorest for me out of a team performance that was just simply not at the races! [-(

Shit happens! ](*,)'

Playing a team with no confidence and we leave our top scorer on the bench in favour of Stelios, who was shite. Hasn't had a good game this year. Also Hunt needs to be dropped and give Ben Haim a run. His positioning was crap. #-o #-o

WHAT'S NEW?

Campo was one of the worst performing players before his injury and we got some good results without him.He is one of the most overated players in the premier league, it's a shame we couldn't offload him in the transfer window instead of giving him a new contract, they are big wages and he just isn't worth it. We could bring somebody in that is worth the money.

I disagree that Portsmouth made it difficult for us.

We are a better team with Nolan

Diuof's talent is wasted unless his attitude changes

Stelios :?: :?: :?: No comment

When our usual tatics didn't work we had no other ideas (or quality players to change it) De Zeuwe won every header in the air.

Stelios won't be at the Wanderers much longer, he spends more time on his arse than on his feet.

Diouf went down looking for a penalty when it looked like he had a better opportunity to score

Augustine had about 6 shots on goal without troubling the keeper. You would have though he would have been practicing them all week or was he too busy on his trip to Court?

I'm 42 and look. . . . . . 42 ish! I started going in 1970 with my mum. Jimmy armfield was the manager.

Fucked my mum off in about 1974 when I decided I would have more fun stood up than sitting down. (Nothing changed there then!)

Used to follow home and away, got battered a few times home and away. I now take wife, son and daughter. Season ticket holders in West Stand Lower. Still enjoy going to away games but, again, it's a family occaision.

so basically, I know all about their inability to beat lower teams.

Do you remember we were on an unbeaten run of about 28 - 30 games and were up against Blackpool in some cup comp. Leyland Van Trophy or something. They battered us!

I remember being 28 games unbeaten and playing bottom of the table Mansfield away inn a night match. Alan Stubbs made his debut that night and we got stuffed 4-0.

today was one of those days when we were never going to score, simple as that.

stelios continues to disapoint, he has not had a telling influence on any game since he got here so should be quietly moved out.

what was sad today was once the long ball was nt working we had little else. the number of free kicks whem portsmouth got every one back and we had no other option was shocking. in the first half hunt must have 40 yards in front of him and a square ball from a free kick could have created a decent angle. to be fair given his attempts at crossing in second half could see why this option was n't taken. in the second half we got a free kick on our right but a similar angle to where they scored from and all of a sudden instead of putting the vall in from a good angle it was knocked to j-j to balloon over bar.

the sub when gardener was injured seems stranger every time i thinbk about it especially given it left the potential for hierro to be left against fullers pace.

campo or stelios had to go.

davies can take some credit just for the effort he put in, diouff looked our only threat, but if the spitting stuff is true lets just get rid.

i hope the players tore into each other after the game as they did when we lost against city, this was very poor and how stelios played 90 mins god only knows, we badly need some width and pace.

we badly need some width and pace.

so let's get rid of diouf #-o
