  • I really don't get this 'the results went for us' or 'relying on others' bollocks. The season is 46 matches for everybody and we all have to play each other. Some fuckin mentalists.

  • Fuck off you cunt! Enjoy the winning feeling!

What you both say is true but we won't need an entirely new squad nor will we need to adapt to a different style of play.

We will be in an excellent position to recruit upon promotion.

Exactly. We are simply 'work in progress' hopefully in League 1 next year but even in this League we need to continue to evolve.
Also let's not forget that pressure/confidence are massive factors in any sport. Evatt in his interview on Saturday talked about players being brave and taking risks.
Second half Saturday we played on the front foot and GT was a big part of that.
Personally I think Lee and MJ have not been at their best last couple of games ( not shit but could below the level we have seen). Dapo needs a goal and I think he could explode. But I think him and John make a good combination. I think Isgrove with Jones on the right works ok.
But as a club we have been a mess for years, players not getting paid etc. If we do get promoted, with a young up and coming manager, a side wanting to play football and critically decent people running the club we become an attractive option for better players.

Absolutely. As I said we have the nucleus of a L1 side. Whatever recruitment happens will be to build on what we already have. Signed to fit in to the specific way we play

as we sign better the quality of play will improve which is what we will need

I suspect that at the end of this season BC, much like last, a number of clubs will be looking to offload players and keep squads to a minimum, so if IE can work his magic again, especially as we can pay purchase and loan fees again and pick up some quality, we should be as strong in L1 as we are in L2. Hopefully we’ll also have Denis P back fit which is like a new signing and our young players like George and Rico, will have another years experience under their belt. If we can keep the likes of Declan John and Dapo, all the better and with lots of contracts finishing we shouldn’t be stuck with players we don’t want, like we were under Parkinson with silly 3 year contracts. The club is far better run now and I have every confidence for the future.
