Poole 5 - quite assured apart from the goal, a younger keeper would have got it

Hunt 2 - utter wank, did nowt apart from give the ball away and set up the goal

Jaidi 4 - Poor

N'Gotty 3 - very poor

Gardner 5 - quiet

Campo 1 - More likely to have signed from Red Lion, Madrid than Madrid, gets a point for the ball to Hunt

Okocha 5 - worked hard but lacked end product

Speed 4 - poor game again

Nolan 6 - worked hard, especially in the second half

Davies 5 - no chance up front with no supply

Diouf 7 - Unlucky once then a goal, looked dangerous

 

Vaz Te 8 - man of the match, very dangerous and also hard working

Unsure about Vaz Te being MOM.

Thought that Diouf played well, and looked to have been denied a certain penalty. I am now convinced he will have to be decapitated to get a penalty from any ref such is his past history.

Hunt was appalling. There was one moment when the ball hit him in the back - he wasn't even looking the right way! He hit some terrible passes. But in the end he provided the ball for the equaliser.

Jay Jay got going a bit in the 2nd half, I think once he realises that he CANNOT SHOOT, and tries to thread cute little passes through the defence for Diouf, Nolan or Vaz Te to run on to, then we will benefit more from him.

I thought Gardner started to improve as the game wore on, and the sooner we get him up the pitch in more dangerous positions the better.

Nolan was close on MOM, thought he worked hard, especially when he moved into a more central role upfront. He actually carved out a few openings, including one that Diouf should have scored from. He was also denied a penalty in the 2nd half with a goalbound shot being stopped by a loose arm.

 

Overall, the atmosphere picked up and you have to say it must have helped the players. The more encouragement the better.

 

Finally, no Stelios or Jussi - thank god! Both have been poor in recent weeks. Thought I have to question Allardyce for picking Poole ahead of Oakes. Why? Sure Oakes or even Jussi would have saved their goal.

campo did play ok...not great, but adequate

folk that can't see that jussi is a good keeper worry me

the difference between a bottom 3 side and the rest are players like Campo who can put his foot on the ball and pass it. he makes a big difference to Bolton without it always being obvious.

I`m relieved to see it isn`t just me who sees this.I think he has good skills but he has still a lot to learn and would still like to see him coming off the bench.
