All good Things ....
Totally agree with you Salford. I've seen people defending Hunt's performance last night because he put in a couple of good blocks. Now tell me if I'm wrong, but sunday league players are judged on their defending. Premiership defenders are also judged on their distribution and attacking contributions. Anyone who thought had anything other than a shocker last night needs their eyes testing. All but 1 or 2 of his clearances either went into touch or through for a goal kick. And most of this was done without any pressure from a West Ham player. How long is Joey out for?

Carrick and Jenus!
OK so I was a bit over the top, but it drives me nuts seeing some of the players strolling round the pitch game in game out knowing that they won't lose their place regardless of their performance or effort.
-
Carrick and Jenus!
Nolan could have played anywhere on the pitch yesterday and done a lot better than the person who was in the team. Unfortunately the fact that Sven never drops the likes of Beckham and Gerrard from the team and continues with Carrick and Jenas in the squad means that they don't need to put the effort in. When was the last time Gerrard or Beckham actually did something for England? I know that they're great players but what's the point having them in the team if they don't get involved?

Marseille Tickets Sold
I'm happy to pay ??100 for 2 tickets if anyone's selling. Just out of interest, how come there are City fans with tickets when they were only sold to season ticket holders?

Spare ticket for Wigan game.
Is someone having trouble with ticket office? Just kidding! Does anyone know what sort of crowd they're expecting Saturday. After weeks of my mates giving me shit about our style of play and now our attendances I've persuaded 2 of them to come to their first game at the Reebok. I hope they're not disappointed. One of them's a Toon fan .... I reckon he's just coming to check out Sam!

I was only kidding. Calling me Bextor? Sarcasm never works online. Don't worry ...... I've got it out of my system now. I won't mention it again!

Do you want me to go over it again? Sorry. Now lay off the insults!

The one thing that really annoys me about this is the fact the club soon after the draw that we would only get 2,800 tickets. If they'd announced that sooner then I'm sure fewer non-season ticket holders would have wasted their hard earned money on travel and accomodation.
-
no vouchers..tickets coming
Someone suggested on one thread that there are only a couple hundred who missed out on tickets. Surely that's complete rubbish. I reckon there are going to be loads more than that.

The Club's Response
They have told me on a number of occasions that there would be no problem. Lower enquiries than Portugal they said. And even yesterday TMG were willing to sell me travel and hotel despite the fact that I made it clear I am not a season ticket holder.
-
So who's going to France with no match ticket?
I know that they can't always be trusted but someone at the club told me they sold a similar number of Guimaraes tickets to non-season season ticket holders as season ticket holders. Is there any reason to think that it would be all that different for Marseille?
-
So who's going to France with no match ticket?
I think I'm right in saying that there were a similar number of season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders in Portugal. With not all ST holders getting tickets I reckon there could be as many 3,000 ticketless fans most of whom have already booked travel and accomodation. I was also wondering whether we'd be better or worse off if we all meet up somewhere.

Marseille Away Sold Out
How much do you want for 2 of them?
-
Any spare tickets?
Obviously willing to pay over the odds for them! Not had the heart to tell my Dad we haven't got tickets yet.

The Club's Response
As I don't have a season ticket I won't be upset at the club if I don't get one of the 2,800 we have been given. What I'm upset about is this.... 1. If Marseille only ever give the away club 2,800 tickets then why didn't Bolton just announce that immediately? That way, I and probably many other non-season ticket holders, wouldn't have bothered booking expensive travel and accomodation for a match that was only ever going to be attended by season ticket holders. 2. If all of the tickets are sold out, why haven't they announced that fact? People might still be booking travel now in the expectation of getting a ticket. Despite what they say, someone from the club was quoted in the Evening News as saying that demand wasn't expected to be that high .... and that is the only thing I have read about likely demand. 3. Why can they find a ticket in a 'sold out' section for a corporate enquiry when some season ticket holders have missed out? All I'm asking for is a bit of communication. The draw was made 6 weeks ago and by all accounts we were only ever going to get 2,800 tickets. Why couldn't this have been done and dusted sooner?

The Club's Response
Unfortunately my anger is based on what I personally was told by the ticket office this morning and emails I received from the club's commercial director and corporate sales department. No Chinese whispers on this occasion!

The Club's Response
Sadly I don't have a ST so I wouldn't actually feel too hard done by if others get priority and I don't get a ticket. It's the way that the club go about these things which really winds me up! Even now they're sending out mixed messages. I've just heard that the ticket office told someone an hour ago that there are 1,000 tickets left. I give up with them I really do!

The Club's Response
Thank you for your email and I am sorry to hear of your disappointment Firstly in respect of Guimaraes tickets, these were all processed and issued immediately they were received from Guimaeres. Indeed there are many examples of UK Clubs who due to the late arrival of tickets from the opposing Club, are left in the often difficult position of having to distribute tickets to their supporters from the opposing clubs venue, a situation that Bolton Wanderers have successfully avoided during this campaign. The Clubs policy in respect of applications for UEFA Cup tickets has been widely publicized, with applications for tickets invited 2 weeks ago mmediately Marseille had confirmed the ticket price. The club has always made it clear that all applications would be date stamped and processed in the strict order they were received, a process that has been followed to the letter. At no time has the club published any information suggesting that demand would be lower than for Portugal. With regard to Corporate Hospitality packages, under UEFA rules, each Club is allocated 200 tickets for Club guests, players and business clients, which are over and above the Clubs ticket only allocation. I should stress that these are not part of the clubs 2,800 ticket allocation. I should also stress that corporate clients and customers are a very important part of the Clubs recent success, with the vast majority being lifelong supporters of the Football Club and the vast majority having being corporate season ticket holders for many years. With regard to your own application, if it was received before the end of the day on Saturday 28th January, then it will have been successful. The majority of those received on Monday 30th January have also been successful with any additional applications being held on a waiting list should the club receive any returns, which is often the case. In summary, the Club have acted in strict accordance with our widely publicized ticket policy and procedures and while we are sorry that a small number of applications may have been unsuccessful, such an eventuality is inevitable when the number of applications received exceeds the tickets available to the Club. Thank you however for writing to the Club with your concerns. With kind regards Gareth Moores Commercial Director -----Original Message----- From: wigg [mailto:wigg@yahoo.co.uk] Sent: 31 January 2006 14:10 To: Gareth Moores Subject: Hugely disappointed and angry fan Dear Mr Moores, I just wanted to let you know how extremely disappointed I am (yet again) with the way that the club and ticket office have handled arrangements for a big match. After the Guimaraes fiasco (tickets arriving literally the day that we left for Portugal) I thought you would have learnt something ... but apparently no. Like many fans I was very surprised to see that the club waited so long to invite applications. Why not do it sooner? The number of tickets given to us by the other team would have no effect on the application process. If you had asked any fan on the street they would have told you that more of their friends were hoping to travel to Marseille. As far as I am aware, the only information given out by the club suggested that there wouldn't be problem with tickets as interest was significantly lower than for Portugal. As a result of this I booked flights and accomodation for myself and my Dad and put in my application for tickets as soon as they were requested. I phoned the ticket office this morning to buy tickets for 4 other matches and on enquiring about Marseille I was informed that all tickets had gone and that not all even all of the season ticket holder applications have been successful. I understand that Marseille will not be releasing any more tickets, but if that is the case then why have the club not announced that the match is now sold out? As it is, more people could be booking travel today with the assumption that they are still likely to get tickets. And now for the bit that makes me really really angry. On realising I wouldn't have tickets I decided to enquire about corporate packages. I was told that these were still available and on double checking was assured that if I wanted to I could get a seat in with the away fans rather than at the box. Now that is a joke. And the club wonders why only 13,000 turn up for the FA cup game when they are treated like this. Thanks for listening. I hope some lessons can be learned! PS. Looks like there will be a lot of Bolton fans in the home end in Marseille

Now I am really really angry. Read this from the bottom up!

Hi MR X Yes, the seating we are using for customers on the executive trip is actually balcony seating outside the hospitality boxes. For seats in the away end, we have 2 spare tickets that haven't been allocated that we could use for your executive package if you wish to go ahead with your booking. Your package will include pre-event hospitality (before customers reach the Stadium) but you would be required to possibly make your own way to and from the Stadium back to the hotel. If you do wish to book please complete the form and fax back to secure your places. Regards XXXX -----Original Message----- From: wigg [mailto:XXXXXXXXXXX] Sent: 31 January 2006 13:06 To: XXXX XXXX Subject: RE: Corporate Marseille Ticket / Trip Hi XXXX, Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Am I right in thinking that these seats are away from the bulk of our fans? Given that we have a lot of friends sitting in the away end, would it be possible to leave the remainder of the trip unchanged and yet get match tickets in the way end even at the same cost. Ticket Office
Given the away leg is now sold out, son't you think it might be 'nice' if the club would announce the fact. Considering the fact that the last official announcement suggested there would be no such problem there could easily still be people booking travel, hotels etc when they've got no chance of a ticket. I am very very angry.

Marseille Away Sold Out
Just bought my tickets for Portsmouth, Wigan, Arsenal and Marseille home and was told that Marseille away is sold out. Not all season ticket holders will get tickets and there's absolutely no chance of more tickets. The guy told me that there's no point in them going back to Marseille for more as they've been told in no uncertain terms that they won't go higher than 2,800. What to do now!
