The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the old town, all down hill. I think the Voodoo club is in the basement of that hotel. You'll pass the Soviet monument on your way. Try not to piss on it like 1 English lad did. I think he got 3 months in prison. I also recommend going to the Occupation museum near the river. Very interesting place. The Latvians were subjected to the Nazis and the Ruskies taking over their country. Well worth going to if you fancy having a hour or 2 off the ale. It's also free. Only use red taxis as the white ones rip you off. 3 times more expensive than the red uns.

Bars/Pubs Skyline (in Hotel Latvia), Quality views at sunset. Stella Pub (guess what they serve here) Dickens - English pub ok for watching footy. At the time it was supposed to be an ok place to go. I've since heard its become another of the rip off merchants. Have a look on www.tripadvisor.co.uk to find the best/safest clubs to go to.

I watched it in London on the Kings Road. The pub was full of Chelsea "fans". I got speaking to 1 nob head who was from Darlington. He thought he was the dogs bollox cos was wearing a pre 2004 away shirt. Must've been on ebay. Anyway, I tell him and his mate that I can remember going to Darlo in 1986 for the Sherpa Van/Freight Rover match in which we won 3-0. They both then said "Yeah but didn't WE beat you 1-0 in a cup match". WE, I thought you were Chelsea fans you kuntz!! They told me I was pedantic. I told em they were glory hunters. They didn't speak to me after that.... Chelsea are in danger of becoming the new scum

I only ever want Scum to win when they play Italian sides. Italians are the only nationality that I detest.

Went last night. There was 11 of us. I'm sooo popular.... The food was very good, the service was ok if a little slow but there was only 1 waiter on. The cost per person for 3-4 tapas dishes was about ?11 (inc tip) which I didn't think was too bad. Overall, good value for money and I'd definitely go again. Plus the bar has been done up and it looks far better with nice leather sofas. Egon Ronay must be sh!ttin himself
