  1. 3 months of training and diet, you’ll be reet!! Bet you are mega excited for this one. Spending much time out there other than the running?
  2. Up that protein quota if you are hungry!!
  3. That’s a nice steady loss! Feeling much better in yourself?
  4. Heading back to Istanbul next May. Been a while since our Besiktas trip. Not booked a hotel yet, presuming Taksim Square is a good starting point? Might have the option of a cheap deal with Rotana but their hotel(s) look a bit farther out from the centre.
  5. First stone off in 5 weeks. Weight loss slowing down now. Will be happy with 2-3 lbs per month going forward.
  6. Watched the TV one hour special on it earlier. Wow. Very emotional shit. Maybe it’s an age thing. Can see him getting 3 little letters after his name on NYD.
  7. The initial idea with XRP was that it would be the sole coin that could be utilised using Ripple’s international money transfer system. Ripple were trying to get on board with MoneyGram and the likes, and on board with national banks around the world. At the time (7 years ago) all of these kinds of rumours were very strong and there was talk it may overtake SWIFT as the system used worldwide. Its price rocketed on the back of this speculation. None of which has come true to date. Not saying that it won’t ever happen. In this respect, XRP does have a purpose. Rather than the man on the street buying it, it would be bought up by international banks worldwide. Each coin is only usable once. So it gets burned after use. So the number in circulation reduces. In turn the value of each coin goes up.
  8. Aye, bit of a shitter that. And QOTSA are supporting them at their L.A. gig. Imagine if they were announced for Wembley it would be a no-brainer.
  9. Out on a hike with no signal! Missed the days high of $1.25.

Watched the first series this week, really enjoyed it, hope the 2nd stands up as well.
  11. Tremendous effort! Fair play to him. Such a cool bike in the 70s. Didn’t have one, but always wanted one. Do remember Grifters being big heavy fuckers though. Also Boxers and Strikers - think they were bikes of the day.
  12. Think Linkin Park’s new album stands up well against some of their others. Had it on 3 times today. She’s doing a good job as CB’s replacement.
  13. Down 11 lbs in less than 4 weeks. Might introduce some 90% dark chocolate into my evening snacks next week!! Rock n roll!!!
  14. Thought it was a sideline business of all gardeners. Body disposal.
  15. They go up and go down. They are currently going up. They have gone down more often and folk have had their fingers burnt. Had XRP at less than $0.30 7 years ago. Saw it get up to $3.50 (and bought heaps more at higher prices along the way). Was sat on a pretty fortune. Then it crashed. I hadn’t cashed out and was stuck with them all the way down to less than $0.10 during Covid. I think Bitcoin was back below $4000 during covid. Maybe much lower. Folk said it was doomed. Look at it now. XRP is hovering around $0.88 now. Think I’ll cash out at $2 if it makes it that far on this bull run.
  16. Murder, chopping up bodies and burying them… how many calories does that usually shift TMGJ?
  17. Injuries are a sign of being totally incompetent at running, having only really got into it in the last 4 years. Skipping the couch-to-5k and trying to run ultras… think my body has struggled. Fitness has been perfectly fine. And managed to get a slight grip of the mental strength needed. A few weeks ago I was roughly a stone heavier than I was during covid 2020. I was at my fittest and best then. So a return to that weight would be good. Running with a stone less to cart around is going to help me avoid injuries. Hence, me going back to basics, low heart rate slow running (in the fat burning zone) and having a dietary plan to go hand-in-hand with it. Whilst educating myself each day on both the nutritional and physical side of things (watching tons and listening to tons of podcasts, YouTube vids, etc).
  18. Not just a weight loss plan. Trying to burn off some fat. Get stronger and trimmer at the same time. Whilst building up my aerobic base - rather than going through the no-pain, no-gain routine that most folk do. I’ve been there, been injured and suffered from a lot of inflammation. Will see how it goes. The ultimate goal is to cycle between low carb and keto as and when I need to.
  19. I didn’t say it was. Just pointing out the the typical diet on the planet is eating shit. Many, many hidden sugars in every day stuff. Still eating up to 50g (gross) of carbs each day, mainly broccoli (listed as the number one complex carb in many places).
  20. Keto has been around by name since the 1920s. Surely eating fast food, sweets, chocolates, cake, high processed foods, additives, etc, etc is a fad diet that’s gone way too big. Not a single doctor on the planet would ever recommend it. But most of them are eating it and overweight. My last 2 GPs have been very portly.
  21. I’m a good 2 1/2 weeks on my way to this. For now, I’ll accept the “untrue” ketosis and keep doing what I am. China’s obesity rates have quadrupled over the last 30 years.
  22. Fasting resets your body from the inside. Sacks off your bad cells. Massive, massive benefits from doing it. From snacking constantly and raiding the fridge every 15 minutes, I’m now literally never hungry. Feeling very satiated from the good fats and protein in my daily meals. Obesity, diabetes and being “over fat” are happening in epidemic proportions and the “standard” diet that most of us have signed up for all our lives clearly isn’t working. Not too mention chronic illnesses. The USFDA changes in 1977 moving the world from high fat/low sugar to low fat/high sugar has been castastrophic. Just look around. There’s more fatties than thinnies nowadays. BUT there’s also a lot of “athletic” types and gym types who look fit but are eating shit calories and too much sugar.
  23. Wish I could afford a PT. Everyone has their own opinions. For everyone who says its bad, there’s another bunch of experts who say it’s good for you.
  24. The average human stores between 130,000 and 150,000 of calories in fat in their body. 20 hours of fasting is hardly going to deplete those stores. Glycogen is a byproduct of carbs and sugar. As I’ve been in ketosis for 2 1/2 weeks, I’m not reliant on it. Folk run marathons fat adapted and fasted.
  25. 20 hour fast today. Cracked out a 10km at 1 hour 12 mins. Reckon my mum could do better!
