oh, and make sure you speak with the IR about child tax credit. I got mine upped to nearly the maximum available during that first year, believe you me, getting ??250+ from them was a major help when I was drawing little or no wages. -

Northy, my advice would be to contact a local business support unit. In Bolton its called the BBSU. There is also the BBV and Business Link. Your best bet would be to try Business Link - sure there'll be one in your area. Tell them what your plans are and they'll probably be able to give you some invaluable advice - from Health & Safety to Book-keeping.... plus Payroll, VAT, etc, etc. Usually they run courses which are completely free. I did a book-keeping course and thus keep my own books - using a simple Excel spreadsheet. Other possibilities from seeing Business Link - they may be able to find some funding for you.... we got between ??4K and ??6K over the first 2 years - which is a major help to get stuff you need. Like Smiffs, getting a wage out of your business ain't that easy. First year I had 2 or 3 months without a wage, or something that just covered the mortgage and nowt else. Missus was panicking saying I should get a real job again! Anyway, upshot was that in the 2nd year I was quids in. The best bit of having your own business as got to be the freedom of it - especially when you have kids. So flexible its untrue. Finally, you will definitely need the advice from a good accountant - though you may find that some are a bit too straight - ours is quite creative! ie. pay no tax or NI, draw a dividend and very small salary, etc. good luck - you won't regret it. -
Widnes I thought you said you were well endowed?

Like Fenny my early days were as a Liverpool fan. Yes! I can admit it. Mainly due to my Dad not living with me and showing any passion for Bolton - he was always negative during my infant days - moaning how we were not the club we once were, etc. Step-dad was a City fan. Everyone at school supported Liverpool - due to their popularity. First saw Bolton in 1979 against Boro at home - we drew 2-2. First proper game when I knew that Liverpool were nothing but posters on my wall - was when we lost to Gillingham 1-0 in front of 3,000+ on a cold and windy day at Burnden. I wish I could turn back the clock and have supported Bolton from day 1.

Met Gudni Bergsson in Jeffersons one Sunday. He was with some other Icelandic gents. We were having a meal with some friends down from Scotland - Gudni took the time to have a word and photo with them. True gent.

I can see the BEN headline now..... The 100% club loses member shock! Pikes Mill, if you are worried about getting your comeuppance from Brixton, don't worry, he is willing to let it lie.

Zoe was collecting - so not sure. I do have Wayne's work email, so will enquire this week.

Nah. Time for someone else to do something else. However, stay tuned, the Bombers t-shirts will be making an appearance. Very limited number to keep them exclusive.

mainly spotted rather than met.... Ian Bowyer (Forest) at Manny Airport. John Bailey (Everton) at some foreign airport. Ian McCulloch (Notts Co) and Jim Stewart (Rangers) in a hotel in Cornwall. Brian Griffiths (Wigan) in hotel in Gran Canaria. Lee Dixon (Arsenal) outside some restaurant in London

Hello to you all from Beach Ball Control. We have at least 56 balls still to sell. This equates to ??112 for the chosen charity - VisionAid. Anyone who hasn't already purchased - please PM me or see either Big E or Brixton. Thanks to all concerned. A NOTE FOR THE CREDITORS Do you all want the full ??80 back - or are any of you willing to donate, say ??10 more to the charity? Let me know, I will send the cheques or cash out to you all this week sometime.

Any chance they could donate a prize for the Charity Race Night on 11th Feb at LL Cricket Club?

Why? Isn't everyone happy with the ways things are? We gave Colin Todd money and he wasted it. Big Sam has no track record in spending big - he may also waste it. Let's keep things tight like they are now, I'm happy with how things are at my football club. I really detest Wigan and Chelsea. I don't class their achievements as.... well achievements really. They have bought their successes just like Blackburn did all those years ago.

None. No checks have been made. No forms filled in. Okay, her own children are at the school - but quite clearly, there are perverts and nonces in the community who may well be happily married with children of their own - quite common. What's more - the caretaker didn't have to pass any rigorous checks either. He's an old retired bloke - and it was him who told me how shocked he was to have got the job so easily. He has since been through the checks, but these only started 6-12 weeks after he'd been working there.
-
Anyone watch that last night on BBC1? One debate raging on here is about nonces in our communities - another about parents / carers abusing children. But what about when the Social Services feck up big time..... and I mean, putting a 6 year old lad into care for 10 years.... based on his stories about see ghosts..... which the social services interpreted as his parents abusing him in a Satanic ritual. Now that programme made me both sad and angry. I pictured my own children being taken away from me..... for absolutely no reason..... and not being able to see them for 3 months, 6 months, 5 years or 10 years.
-
my missus started work (voluntary) at a primary school today. only 3 hours a week. guess how many rigorous checks she has gone through? and how many forms she has had to fill in?
-
He`s a hooligan and should never play for the allstars again. And risk playing without a hardman? I might be back next week - so that roll will be filled!!!!
