  1. This should be a bigger picture sorry guys.
  2. If this takes off, as it looks like it is. I presume the club will adopt this for next season in full. I'm not into drummers and the like, but I wouldn't be against flags at the front of the NSL, like the Walkden one which is ever present. Even a couple of biguns on flagpoles at the front? Also, card displays where a coloured card is attached to each seat, and held aloft by each person in a particular stand to create an image, look the fookin dogs. This would work wonders and instill some more pride into the players and fans alike. Anyone in doubt look at the attached ( I know plenty on here who will like this, sorry TSO). I know this would cost money, but surely the club can run to a few quid if it helps the team along and gets people down to the ground? Surely WWays has some clout these days (the club are taking the credit for tomorrow but we all know better), if we keep banging on about it we can get it done. Lets get the matchday experience back!!
  3. I'm sure theres bin 28500 on for a Rugby League World Club challenge match. No need for segregation, so every seat is utilised.
  4. On flying back from a European away in Russia, Jason thought the pilot 'must know a shortcut' as, due to different time zones, the journey home was 'hours less than the outward flight'.
  5. The big advantage of Setanta over Sky, is they don't roll the sport in with loads of crap channels you dont want. Why can't you just buy Sky Sports 1 2 3 extra & news? (and red hot housewives maybe )
  6. My mates bin up today for our tickets. All lower tiers sold out. Knowing Bolton's last minute support I guess 23k.
  7. What if Kate Garraway was having a lag on the pool table though?

Lovely fella, just has a personal hygiene problem. (I think he sleeps in his Pompey shirt)
  10. Trotter 58. If you think this decision, or any others, made when the PL chairmen get their heads together, is made in your interests you are sadly mistaken. This IS the tip of the iceburg. We wont be in the PL long term anyway, they will remove us because we aren't 'sexy' (profitable) for the best league in the world. As for Okocha Anelka etc, it doesn't really matter, players come and go. It's BWFC and the game that counts. For some reason, ever since we were promised a new stand and feckin supermarket appeared, I tend to be a little paranoid. Bolty: FC Wanderers sounds good to me. I'll probably get pelters for this but I respect what FC United have done. I bet theyre having a whale of a time. Fleetwood away anyone?
  11. This is the tip of the iceburg though Squidgy. This move may suit you and others, a nice foreign pi55 up, why not? But when all the clubs in the PL are in foreign hands, what next? I can see a 'franchise' getting moved to another town or city, like they do in America. And we will be prime candidates for that if we are still in the top flight. Before anyone says League rules etc, ok it may not be allowed now, but the times are a changing.
  12. It's not the fans' fault the club are ripping us off though. I felt guilty last year when we charged Blackburn ?36 (was it?) and we took 7000 to Ewood paying only ?15 a won. Well ok I didn't feel guilty at all but you know what I mean.
  13. Had an afternoon sesh round Chorley over Xmas and quite enjoyed it. Couple of good pubs by the Railway line (come out the station and under the subway and you are there) One of em is a CAMRA pub so full of wooly jumpers and beards but great selection of ales. I suppose a Friday night will bring out a younger crowd though.
  14. Happy birthday mate.
  15. I think we can still tweek the noses of some of the big clubs, because of the Sky money. We have been doing that for the last few years. But that is despite the financial edge the likes of Newcastle Spurs and City have, by being able to charge more and get more in. I can see a bigger polarisation in pricing, from top to bottom of the Premier League in the coming years. Simple economics of supply and demand. I suppose that's why they aren't queueing round the block to buy our club.
  16. Dint like it myself, lacking in character and real beer. Although I understand you have to compromise when out with 'er indoors. I'd go up to the Springbok nr St Peters Square. Not sure if it's called that these days, but it has screens and theres always couples in there.
  17. Spot on We all enjoy a foreign jolly but we need to look at the bigger picture. I almost hope we are back down in the lower divisions by then, and we aint party to this fookin farce. It's only gonna get worse.
  18. They are on the up spending tens of millions and have a big support base. We aren't and don't. It's a two tier system now as regards pricing. Big city clubs can charge what they like whereas the smaller, provincial clubs need to get their pricing right. At the end of the day, we are aiming to get amongst the also rans in mid-table now.
  19. Yes but with crowds on the slide, an increase against what would have been a reduction of 1000's make sense. Customer retention is just as important as gaining new ones.
  20. The key for me is cheap season tickets like Rovurrrrrs. Once people decide to 'pick their games' it hardly happens, because they have to make an effort and put their hands in their pockets. Reducing prices for unattractive games is pretty pointless IMO.
  21. KLM were doing ?171 return Manc via Amsterdam (go to KLM website not expedia which was ?200+). Wed - Fri. Return flight is 5a.m. Friday morning though. May as well just book one nights digs and straight to th'airport after a few sherberts.
  22. Some of our previous managers have managed to do that, and put them on a 4 year contract. Everton fans chanted Liverpool (replace the L with an N and the v with a g) every Mersey Derby I saw.
  23. I'd happily take that instead of double feckin Corrie and Eastenders. Thank fook for t'internet.
  24. 3 Could be right, I raised this in another thread. Could a team reject and accept identical bids from 2 clubs because of their respective league placings? Horwich is right anyway, he wouldn't come up here, it's just that the BEN said the club wouldn't do business.
  25. Like the look of Cahill. BBC report describes him as 'outstanding'.
